For life...take three...... NEW THREAD ALERT. PG 243

So the dr's appointment went okay yesterday. He said that the pain is normal--it can last up to 2 weeks with hemorrhagic cysts. Unfortunately the nurse at my dr's office didn't fax my gyno the CT scan results in time for my appointment and they tried calling and only got voicemail so no luck there. So they had to just go by what I told them.

Don't you just want to slap them sometimes? That is what I love about Kaiser. Everything is usually in the same office and it is all on their computers. Heck I can even access everything online myself.

I forgot to mention the good news...

FINALLY booked Disney! Sept 12-19 at WL (standard view) with park hoppers + water park fun 'n more option and the dining plan!!

Now let's just hope we don't have to cancel for any reason!

Yay!! How exciting!! And I think even a standard view at WL will be great.

yeah I'm hoping I can at least get a copy of the results myself. I'd like to have them for reference. Plus the radiologist wasn't able to 'elaborate' with the stat results b/c he needed to further examine the scans.

Yeah, I'm TOTALLY thrilled about Wilderness Lodge! Part of me feels a little guilty about spending the extra money, but my main reasons for doing it is for the atmosphere, buses (shorter lines & something to stand under if it rains) and having the really nice pool & a hot tub! (oh and I do believe we get a double sink as well) I hope it's worth it!

Hopefully they will get the results to the GYN and they can get back to you and take care of it all.

yeah Kaiser really does have a fool proof system there. But they are so danged expensive! Chris and I were with them until he started working where he is now. We have great insurance but it's nothing like Kaiser. We just couldn't see the cost effectiveness of spending $600 per month for two perfectly healthy people.

:scared1: that's a lot of money

I'm so cold in here today that my feet feel almost numb!

I probably should go somewhere for lunch. Maybe I'll go visit the hubby at work.

Yeah.....it was nuts for sure.

Awww sorry you are so cold :( Darn them for keeping it so chilly in there.

Yeah go see the hubby at work :) I'm sure he would like that:goodvibes

I just wish he could go to lunch. He only just went in at 10 though (it's 11:30 my time) so that's a fat chance. I think I'm gonna head over there. At least I can get some steps in walking around the store.

Oh yeah, y'all don't know about 10K a day....I'm in this program for work called "10K A Day" and your goal is to average 10,000 steps a day over a 6 week period. The first week started off terribly because I was sick at home so I'm trying to make up for that now. Of course with the ovarian pain lately, it hasn't been easy. It's really amazing to see how many steps you take in a day though, just cleaning house and stuff.

Yeah there ya go!

I think that is neat! You go girl. How many steps are you averaging a day? I'm sure that is a little painful with what you are going through with the pain and all. Good for you for still trying to stick with it though :thumbsup2

well it's been varying. On weekdays I'm only getting about 7000. If I actually take a walk for my afternoon break (which I do sometimes) then I can get pretty close to 10,000. There is also an equivalency chart that tells you how many steps certain activities equal. They let you count other activities, so you just have to use that chart to determine how many "steps" you got from that activity. Like last weekend when I was helping clean the pool liner...I wasn't moving my feet the whole time but I was lifting it up and picking up leaves, etc. So I had to basically count it as yard work. I got 36,000 'steps' that day alone!

And the chart is super helpful for things like swimming (obviously no steps involved there). It gives the equivalent of leisurely swimming, doing slow laps, and doing fast laps. Also has house cleaning on there. :thumbsup2

omg this is the most romantic thing I have ever seen in my life!!!

I used to wear one of those and measure my steps per day and used to do pretty well. Then I fell in that darn hole in the ground in LA and wrecked my knee and can't hardly walk so that was the end of that. 10,000 steps a day and you lose weight without even dieting! You go girl! I miss walking.

Yeah there ya go!

If you get up from your desk a lot, which I used to, you can average about 11,000 a day if you really put your mind and your legs, lol, to it.:lmao:
