For Kerry Supporters Only

Gee, guess I am in good company posting an "old" story. The same "old" story made the national news broadcasts tonight. Apparently, someone is not up on the latest developments on this old story.

I just don't get it.

Why is it when Kerry blames the administration in regards to the missing explosives in Iraq, the Bush supporters all cry that he is insulting the troops. And that since he is only basing what he is saying on newspaper reports, this will cause him to lose the elsection.

Ummmm...okay....

Giuliani, most likely sent out by the GOP blames the troops. Oh, it's okay. Rah rah rah!

Bah!

Guliani is not applying for the job of CiC

Not sure what to tell you. I heard it reported on Monday. That's all I'm saying.

The Pentagon investigation goes back to Feb.

Don't know what he said cause I have him on "IGNORE" for the time being but it sounds like the same old drivel, am I right?

What's hilarious is that on one thread we have a bushie claiming that it would have been impossible to move all those explosives without being detected and on another thread, we have a bushie claiming that the locks on the gates didn't matter because whoever looted 380 TONS of explosives got them out through ventilation shafts.....

It's been a bad 24 hours for bush...

Films showing him shooting the finger
Haliburton being investigated
Let 380 TONS of explosives get into the hands of terrorists
Doctored pictures of our servicemen for a campaign ad

Damn! I'm feeling safer all ready!!!

Am I forgetting anything???:teeth:

I think there's plenty of room for blame on the Generals, but blaming the troops isn't right.

The ventilation shafts is not even an original thought. Orin Hatch just floated it on Paula Zahn. It's still a really stupid thought though.

I took it as a shot at the poster also. And it should be noted that the offender has not claimed he was speaking of Giuliani. Nor has he shown where Kerry blamed the troops did he? So easy to make statements like that and not back them up isn't it?

He can't show where Kerry blamed the troops because Kerry never blamed the troops just like Kerry didn't blame the troops in 1971. But, the Bushies never let truth and facts get in the way.

I would seriously do this the moment I am well enough.

You didn't seriously think we'd plan one without you. :)

Thanks, I just read where that brilliant idea came from. Oh well, Orin Hatch speaks and you can bet there will be a right winger willing to regurgitate it as their own idea.

The problem is, they really ought to think about whether or not what they are parroting is so ridiculous that it makes them look as foolish as it did him.

Am I forgetting anything???
yep

CARE shutting down operations in Iraq, too dangerous.

100,000 civilian deaths in Iraq.

US extending tours for US troops in Iraq

Stocks had a whopping 2.51 point rally today

No republican has ever won the white house without Ohio." Polls show slight lead for Kerry.

Sportsmen and hunters - going for Kerry? "hook & bullet crowd" - 30 million voters - historically voted Republican - polls now say they're worried Bush not conserving environment but favoring oil companies - they want to pass fishing and hunting on to their children. It's "not just about gun rights anymore."

Those are some of tonight's news stories....defnitely not a good news day for Bush.

Oh, and for anyone who missed it, ABC news actually showed the tape of Bush flipping the bird....including Bush saying he was giving the one finger salute, in case anyone wanted to try to say it was a doctored tape.

Didn't really want to crash this or the Bush supporter thread, since I don't really qualify as either. That said, the above things are precisely the reason I no longer consider myself a Republican. I don't want the government involved in any of those decisions. I'll be voting for George W. Bush, but I'm not thrilled about it because of his support for government intrusion in a lot of areas that I consider private.

Something to consider before you vote for George W. Bush.

Do you want 4 more Antonin Scalia's sitting on the Supreme Court for the next 15-20 years? That's what is at stake.

If you think you've got government intrusion in your life now, think what it'll be when Bush gets through remaking the Supreme Court.

On a side note, I'd just like to say that regardless of who wins next week, I hope we can all bear in mind that we've got a lot more in common than many of these political threads would lead us to believe. John Kerry or George W. Bush getting elected will not spell the end of civilization ;)

Good luck and may the best candidate win :) Either way, the winner will be *my* president for the next four years.

In the unlikely event Bush gets re-elected, I will never support him. I think he is nothing short of an unmitigated disaster for this country. His conduct of this war, and the events leading up to this war, did not merit his re-election (?), but his impeachment and removal from office.

As an American citizen, the Constitution guarantees us the right to be the loyal opposition and I plan to take full advantage of that right if Bush should be re-elected.

Certainly we can wear tiaras......but I suspect they might insist we wear more than just that. Just imagine the threads on the DIS..."tiaras only day" at Disney, should this be allowed?

Ah, but we still get to run around "nekkid" when Kerry wins, right?

" FBI Investigating Halliburton Contracts "

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041028/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/halliburton_contracts_1

Sometimes, you've got to stand and ponder what it all means.

1) The rats (Robert Mueller) are deserting the sinking ship.

2) Mueller likes his job, sees the handwriting on the wall, and is going to make lemonade out of lemons.

3) There's going to be another "October surprise" and Mueller and the FBI aren't going to take a bullet (symbolically, of course) for Bush.

4) Any bets George Tenet resurfaces in the next few day?

I agree completely. What this man has done cannot be ignored and I cannot and will not support it.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. In his determination to pass the blame on to others, Bush has made himself some powerful enemies, a list which includes the FBI, the CIA, and the Pentagon. Karma is a ***** you know ;)
