I knew that they were making a movie out of the Stephanie Plum series, and just read on the internet that they casted Katherine Heigl as Stephanie?
Does anyone know if this is correct? I love Katherine Heigl, but do NOT see her in Stephanie's character. (She's my favorite in the Love Comes Softly Series.) It is not how I pictured Stephanie at all. I grew up in NJ and understand Stephanie and know what she looks like!
What do you think?

I'm sure I'm the only one that will say this but I don't even like Katherine Heigl. She just doesn't seem approachable like someone I'd want to hang out with.

I had been thinking someone like Amy Adams would have been good. She's young and seems spunky enough to pull off something like that.

Eh not a great choice but I am sure it can change she is too delicate but then again Charlise Theron pulled off that tough one. Although I would think Marissa Tomei type of person Drew Barrymore?

Definitely. I like Marissa but she's too old to play Stephanie.
I think that Anne Hathaway would make a good Stephanie and Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) could definitely pull off Ranger.
I just watched Get Smart last night so maybe thats why I have them in my mind.
Morelli is a tough one but I always pictured Collin Farrel (sp?) but he'd have to ditch his Irish accent.

Man, Kathryn Heigl doesn't seem to be much of an actress-just plays herself with different names and co-stars. I'd sure like a meatier actress but this is going to be an action -romantic-comedy so no heavy hitters. I hate Hollywood for this kind of casting.
Sandra Bullock and Marissa Tomei are too old, so is Drew Barrymore - too bad. Wendy Williams would be prefect as Lula!!!! I will be really ticked if Morelli and Ranger are not sizzlin' hot. They need to be the kind of guys that just by looking at you make you shiver. Not many men can really pull this off.

Jennifer Hudson for Lula and another thought for Stephanie, Elizabeth Banks. I do like Katherine Heigl but I agree that she plays the same character in everything she is in, and she's too boring to be Stephanie.
