The "5 Things I Hate That Everyone Else Seems To Love" list has been circulating on Facebook for awhile, so I thought it would be fun to do a Disney World version! It's simple - just list the 5 things about WDW that you can't stand but that so many other people seem to love. Remember, these are PERSONAL opinions and this is just for FUN!

Here's mine:

1. Dole Whips (I think they are gritty and gross!)
2. Pirates, pirate, pirates! I HATE pirates!!
3. Parades (well, not so much the parades themselves but the way people behave at them)
4. Disney Dining Plan (ugh, too much food and the entire trip revolves around eating)
5. Hollywood Studios (I just am not interested in this park at all)

Expedition Everest (Made me sick, and I didn't see the Yetti!)
Stage shows
Dole Whips (I don't like pineapple, personal preference)
Contemporary Resort (just not my style)
Small World (Mom made me ride it so many times as a kid, I never want to see it again)

"Hate" might be too strong a word but here are the things I could do without!

1. Illuminations (I used to love it but haven't liked the more recent versions)
2. Honey I Shrunk the Audience (Dated...)
3. The All-Star resorts (I'll stay in them if I have to but I don't like the look of them)
4. Tie Dye Cheesecake from the Pop Century resort
5. Universe of Energy (Only good for nap taking)

1. Car Stunt Show at DHS.
2. Brown Derby food. yuck.
3. Hollywood and Vine food. yuck.
4. Boma food. yuck. (except for the breakfast buffet)
5. AKL - we stayed there last year - and after you get used to seeing the savannah out the door, that is cool, it really isn't worth a deluxe cost to me. The rooms aren't NEARLY as large as say, the Poly rooms, and the food court is HURTING for attention. The sit down restaurants choices aren't my cup of tea and it I feel it should at least have some kind of close transportation - aka - tram or path or something to the Animal Kingdom park. I just don't get it.

1) Hoop Dee Doo Revue :confused3

2)School Bread-yuck

3)Parades--same reason as OP

4)Pleasure Island-never knew so many people loved it until it closed:confused3

5)Lights Motors Action-once was more than enough, can those bleachers get any hotter??

1. Stitch's Great Escape- the chili dog burp makes me gag!
2. Turkey legs.
3. Animal Kingdom Lodge/Boma/ et al...IMHO, as of just last week, it was a "deluxe wanna be"
4. Crystal Palace
5. Splash Mountain- I do not like to be wet from a ride.

I don't really "hate" these things like another poster said.. but they are not musts on our trip...

1- Fantasmic.. DBF and I saw it in 2007.. didn't think it was terrible but wasn't interested in seeing it again unless we went with people who really wanted to see it (and even then I think we might still do something else)

2- Pleasure Island.. just nothing interested us there

3- Ohana's.. okay.. DBF actually liked this one and would def. go again.. so I pretty much stand alone on this one.. but I just plain didn't like it.. it wasn't for me... I thought the entertainment was poorly done (I think it's one of the very few things Disney does that is just not very good at all) and I wasn't a big fan of the food

4- The Wave... I wasn't feeling well when I ate there.. so it's not really fair to attribute a dislike of a place under those circumstances.. but I don't like it all the same so it makes my list

5- I hate writing this.. because I know I'm alienating myself here.. but Wilderness Lodge.. it's just sooo far away from everything else.. and for the price you pay to stay there it just seems overrated... it was beautiful.. but compared to the other hotels and their locations.. I just don't think I would ever stay there.. Artist Point is very good.. but the Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk, MK Deluxe Resorts.. all seem like such better options

i LOVE this thread!!! :)

1) turkey legs ... i dont like meat on a bone ... and seeing people eat it makes me wanna hurl!!!
2) lights motor action! at DHS ..im just not that into cars.
3) Animal Kingdom Lodge .. dont get me wrong, i enjoy boma and am looking forward to jiko on my next trip. but i just dont think its worth it to stay there. i would much rather stay at the contemporary or polynesian for the cost
4) tonga toast ... maybe its just coz i dont like bananas .. or nuts.
5) Tinkerbelle/ fairies in general. i DO enjoy tinks part in wishes .. but besides that, i have no interest in meeting her or buying any merchandise related to her.

1. Fantasmic (I don't hate it, but won't wait an hour or more to see it, I can take it or leave it)

2. Lights, Motor Cars, Action

3. American Idol, I don't know if there are people out there that love it, but I think it's about the stupidiest attraction Disney has ever come up with.

4. Turkey legs. Just disgusting.

5. Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. Way too loud. Servers funny at first but quickly become annoying. On a side note, I wasn't impressed with the lodge itself either. I've never stayed there, but I wasn't impressed with what I saw, to be fair though, the outdoorsy thing really isn't my style.

I only have one...That annoying girl (Stacey??) on the resort tv. I don't actually "hate" her as a person (I don't know her personally) but I REALLY dislike the goofy way she acts and stuff she says (I know it's probably not her fault...she's probably just saying what's on the script)!!:headache:

Just an aside...if you ever visit DL, you should try Fantasmic there. A much different (better IMHO) experience from WDW.

And now on to think about my list...will post it soon

Like a PP said...I don't HATE these things per say.....but not really very fond of them...

1-turkey legs (okay, so these ARE a hate!) They're gross and slimy looking, and from the pink color it looks like they havent' been cooked. (I know they have, but YUCK!)

2-Hollywood and Vine food BLEGH

3-Stitch's Great Escape. I LOVE Stitch, but I can't stand this attraction. I'm a serious claustrophobe, so putting me in the dark under a harness where I can not move and I am just stuck really gets to me!

4-Kali River Rapids. This ride is SO short for the line you wait in, and I didn't think it was that fun. I don't mind getting wet on a ride, but at least let me have some fun. This ride left me DRENCHED and I didn't enjoy it. If they had modeled it a bit more like Grizzly River Run at Disneyland's California Adventure, I would have liked it a bit more.

5-Star Tours. It's always so jerky that it hurts my neck and back every time and it's so very very outdated.

1. Fantasmic (I don't hate it, but won't wait an hour or more to see it, I can take it or leave it)

I think its funny it's called WHISPERING Canyon Cafe, and all I ever hear that it's too loud! :lmao:

Ok, my top 5:

1) Dole Whips- I hate pineapple due to bad childhood experiences

2) Stitch's Great Escape- LOVE the films, this was a real disappointment, plus the queue line was only meant to be 15 minutes and it turned out more like 30. Plus point, we were in the right place, right time coming out of the ride to see a space launch come over the top of Space Mountain!

3) Fantasmic- I remember waiting a good 2 hours before hand to see it, and wondering why!?! I may change my opinion in September

4) Generic Disney Merchandise- Why come half way across the world to get the same stuff I could get at my Disney Store at home???

5a) Lights, Motor, Action show- its the same at Disneyland Paris too, except they say everything in French too, so it takes double the time! I'm not complaining that its bilingual, it just gets so dull!

5b) (I know, but they are on a par) Star Tours- an excellent way for me to have to lie down for 20 minutes! Yuck!

I can't say I "hate" these things...but I'm not into them:

1) Fantasmic. I was not overlly impressed.
2) Cheese sauce. I'm not a fan of cheese period and cheese sauce on fries sounds very wrong to me....but I know tons of people love it-so I'll just leave more for you! ;)
3) The DDP. We've only been to Disney 3 times, and only once WITHOUT the DDP, but that confirmed it. I don't like that it's advertised to save people money, when in reality, most people won't on the plan. Yes, it's convienent to just swipe your card, but that's about it.
4) Tinkerbell. She just doesn't interest me. Or any of the faries.
5) The bus/monorail announcements. This is a love/hate relationship. I love it at first because it's kinda like "Yes, I'm in Disney World!" when you hear it the first few times-and it's helpful at the resorts with several buildings, but after a while---man do they get old! If the monorail just did the "Stand clear of the doors" in English and Spanish and the many building resorts did their call, I would be set. I don't need to know about Stitch's new ride, or whatever it be. That's what I have the DIS for! ;)

Interesting topic. Let's see... my top 5 would be:

1) Soarin' - not really a 'hate', but I don't see it as the be all-end all some people seem to think it is; not even a must-do for me
2) The current Nemo-mania - I don't hate Nemo, per se, but I'm sick to death of all the Nemo in the parks
3) 'Ohana - Loud, obnoxious atmosphere with rubbery food? Mmm? :confused3
4) Monsters Inc Laugh Floor - could be lovely, if it wasn't sullying Tomorrowland
5) The Black Widow bride overlay in the Haunted Mansion - it's not a bad story, but I'd have preferred something that wasn't just copied from DL
5b) Tied with the bride; the new script for Spaceship Earth. I like Judi Dench and all, but the new script is really dumbed down and detracts from the majesty the attraction should have, imo. I also think the descent area looks cheap, with the screens as a bandaid solution to keep you from looking at the cloth-covered walls that used to have actual scenery. Disappointing.

2) Cheese sauce. I'm not a fan of cheese period and cheese sauce on fries sounds very wrong to me....but I know tons of people love it-so I'll just leave more for you! ;)

I LOVE YOU!!! Another person who hates cheese! Its so hard to get by in this cheese loving world, but in my mind it is mouldy butter, and tastes gross!

We should set up a club!

1. Lights, Motors, Action-- I've never been so bored at disney lol after the ballet chase at the beginning it's just not interesting
2. The crazy all-over addition of Pixar- I don't hate the Pixar movies and such- and I love Buzz Lightyear SRS- but I just feel like there's too much Pixar going on in the parks!
3. That stupid hat in DHS- Move it or something... It was always awesome to walk down the main street and see the Chinese Theatre- it actually felt like you were in Hollywood... now it just reminds me that I'm in a theme park.
4. It's Tough To Be a Bug- had a bad experience with that show as a child- scarred for life. went on it this last trip and had a horrible time.
5. This is my mom's lol- she hates the drummers in Japan. Don't ask me why lol I personally don't mind them.

1. American Idol
2. American Idol
3. American Idol
4. American Idol
5. American Idol

I am SO over celebrities/people trying to become celebrities.:sad2:
