FOR FUN: The 5 Things I Hate At WDW That Everyone Else Seems To Love

SAME HERE! lol when I was little the huge Hopper scared the living daylights out of me and then getting stung.... not good. My mom and I had to leave the theater halfway through the show- I couldn't take it!

This is probably kind of embarassing, but oh well :)

My first ever trip to Disney was when I was 20 years old, and my boyfriend took me to Disneyland. We went into it's tough to be a bug and I was hating the whole thing but trying to get through it until the giant spiders came down from the ceiling. I know they are cartoony looking but I HATE spiders and am really deathly afraid of them and I tried to run from the room:laughing: The only thing that kept me back was DBF pulling on me and telling me to just sit down and close my eyes and he'd tell me when it was over. It was awful.

Scarred for LIFE!

I was thinking that myself. :lmao: But! I was in an (online) argument with someone on another discussion board a while back because he and his friends looooooved Stitch's Great Escape. He kept telling me I just didn't "get it", and that's why I didn't like it. So there's at least a couple of people out there who like it. No accounting for taste, I guess. I have to admit, I really like the animatronic in there, but the actual attraction... um ... :confused3

I'm also shocked that I forgot to put the new Tiki Room on my list! I really do hate that. Hate it like poison.

Oh I see your point.....no one likes Figment either. It was funny however watching my 65 yr old mother gag on Stitch last year.....it took her several minutes to get over it.....I guess that makes me sound horrible....now I am lazy, fat and think gagging is funny....I had a bad day at work:sad2:

OK- same as most of you, not things I would say I hate, just things I don't see the huge love others display for them:

1- Hoop De Doo. Went last year. Won't be going again. Ever.

2- Staying onsite. It's nice, but it's a hotel. I'd rather be able to go every year and stay at a decent offsite place than stay every third year at a WDW resort.

3- Illuminations. Really boring, IMO.

4- Most of DHS. Just doesn't do it for me AT ALL- the layout, the shows, the restaurants, the whole feel. Other than RnR, ToT and TSMM, the whole place could shut down and I wouldn't care.

5- Princesses. Too frilly, girly, and send the "I need a man to complete me" message. Thank goodness DD has never been into them, either- we have never had to shell out for b'fast with Cindy or stood in long lines to get Ariel's autograph.

May I join your club?
And here I was the only who I didn't like cheese, especially on hamburgers!
I will admit I can tolerate on a couple of things like pizza or baked potatoes.

:thumbsup2 I can only eat it on pizza if it isn't over the top, and that the toppings mean it doesn't taste like cheese. I will eat stuff with cheese in it, as long as i can't taste the nastiness!

5. The Stupid Hat at DHS - Really? Not even a ride or attraction? A freaking Pin Station? You could have AT LEAST done the Walt Museum in the Big Hat.

Honorable Mention - Only because they are no longer there... The Words on top of Spaceship Earth. Thank you for fixing that teavesty.

The birthday cake castle - VOMIT!

:lmao::thumbsup2

The feminist in me agrees with you, but I have to say, I get drawn in by the prettiness too!

4. Having to get off the TTA, walk across the conveyer, just to get back on again. I fill really dumb when that happens.
Usually if you just say you'd like to go around again, they don't make you get off and get back on. At least, they've never made me do that. I'd feel silly getting off and on, too. :headache:

Sorry you had a bad day at work. Hope tomorrow's better for ya.

1. Turkey Legs
2. Mickey Ice Cream bars
3. Any TS at Hollywood Studios (haven't tried Mama Melrose yet)
4. Journey into Imagination, or Honey...
5. Star Tours (and I'm a huge SW geek), this includes SW weekends, yuck

For those of you putting Stitch's Great Escape on your list, Please read the question .... "The 5 Things I Hate at WDW that Everyone Else Seems to Love."

I don't think Stitch qualifies because I don't know anyone that loves that ride, let alone everyone loving it. :rotfl:

I also thought of one more for my own list. Please add Tinkerbell Meet & Greet. I think they should have left Tink alone.

OK your right. Scratch that off my list and add Sci Fi drive Inn. People love this dive!! I have never had a good meal here. Even the shakes sucked.

Here's DH's:

1. Parades
2. Monorail smell
3. Anything to do with Lilo and Stitch
4. Electrical Water Pageant
5. The disturbing fact that the "supposedly" underage Alice is usually kind of hot.

1. dining at top restaurants- I am just happy to be on vaca, I don't need to dine at nice places lol

2. getting up early- never up before 11am

3. pools/water parks- don't do them much

4. going with big groups

5. Pixar!

I'm in the tribe of "hate is too strong a word" for these - I am not fond of:

1. Turkey legs - never tried one, they look gross
2. Illuminations - loud and hot (from the Rose & Crown), it was just OK
3. tie-dye cheesecake at POP - pretty to look at, doesn't have much taste
4. Innoventions
5. Ohana dinner - it's just OK

1. The hat at DHS - I like the Mickey-eared water tower better as a park icon
2. Anything Stitch - His bad habits irritate me and I find him all around annoying. I especially didn't like when his picture was put on the monorail cars
3. Disney Dining Plan - whether it's accurate or not, I feel the food has suffered from the DDP.
4. Mission Space - rode it once, messed up my balance and then I got motion sickness on Universe of Energy
5. How all the little girls are called "princess" by CMs every time you turn around

Not easy, since I am usually a 'glass half full' kind of girl!

1. The BBBoutique get up on little girls. No way my DD was ever going near that place.

2. The wave pools at the water parks. They make me sick

3. Pirates at WDW. Really a disappointment after the one at DL

4. Grey goose Slushies/Margaritas/all the rest of the 'fab' drinks everyone talks about...but only because I don't drink.

5. Lilo & Stitch. Just do not get the fascination

5. Christmas time in WDW - I'm Jewish, whaddawant? Too much for me. I don't resent it - I just avoid the parks in December.

4. Peter Pan's Flight - great attraction, but is it really a 45 minute wait ride?

3. Honey I Shrunk the Audience - got too dated too fast

2. Jungle Cruise - enjoy it for the historical angle, but not that great imho

...and the #1 answer is...

1. New Future World at EPCOT - biggest let down from WDI. Strayed too far from the beauty of Future World of the 1980's.

No HATING, just dislikes....

1. California Grill - we weren't impressed at all
2. Spectro - Those little white-faced guys give me the creeps!
3. Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern & Garden Grill---It all just tasted like gross microwaved food. (Yes, I know...that was 3 in one. BUT since they all had the same description, I'm allowed to count them as one.) ;)
4. Illuminations - kind of long & boring (I'm one of those who cries through Wishes, though!)
5. Festival of the Lion King - SORRY! I just don't like it. The four main characters "over" act in my opinion. I know they're supposed to be lively & animated, but they get on my nerves.

Here are my top five:

1. Turkey Legs...Like most everyone else they freak me out.

2. Anything to do with character autographs. I don't get the fascination with people in a costume.

3. Parades...The only thing good about parades is that they make the lines shorter for all of the other attractions.

4. The Grand Floridian Resort...This hotel is just waaaay to floofy for me. I always feel like my kids are going to break something.

5. The Indiana Jones Stunt spectacular. Is this even running anymore?

5 that everyone seems to love but I hate... (like others said stitch would be on the list but i don't know anyone who likes it)

5. Dole whips (not a pineapple person either)
4. Anything to do with High School Musical
3. Mission space
2. Le Cellier (overrated, not even in the top 5 for best places to get a steak)
1. LMA stunt show...which is really the only one I can say i "hate". It completely ruined any chance of the Backlot tour being restored to its original glory.

1 more I just thought of is the Nemo overlay in the Seas pavilion...it used to be my favorite pavilion but not anymore

ITA. It's a steakhouse. There are probably a few just as good or better in your hometown. I just don't get the appeal of Le Cellier...
