The real problem IMO, which happens often here given the amount of construction, is that the trucks in the right lane are going no where near the speed limit. Traveling in the left lane is the only option for everybody going near or over the limit.
I often find myself thinking to the person behind me... feel free to try and pass me on the right, but 10 miles over the limit is as fast as I'm going... and then they try and pass on the right and find out why everybody is on the left.

Jeeeezzzzzz. How can you not notice that?????? It is a "PASSING lane", not a "let's see how slow I can drive and how many people I can piss off lane"......especially when I am late getting back to work after lunch... change lanes and let me speed
I'm just sayin'
