Tell me your favorite Male country music artist and your favorite female country music artist :sunny:

I'm not sure I have a favorite female artist - I do like Carrie Underwood though. As for the guys - I LOVE Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins, Blake Shelton & Keith Urban. :thumbsup2

I think my all time favorite is George Strait. I like to listen to Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Gary Allen. As far as females go I like some of the oldies, Barbara Mandrell, Lorrie Morgan ( I love Lorrie), Patsy Cline. New country: Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood, Chely Wright are a few that come to mind.

My favorites of all those:

George Strait and Lorrie Morgan

Female: Reba
Male: oh man. I cant pick just one. Love Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Montgomery Gentry, Brooks and Dunn, Alabama, Lonestar, Toby Keith

Ok, so I just love country music in general

Keith Urban and Pat Green :thumbsup2

Sara Evans...

I forgot Reba...how could I forget Reba!

MouseWorshipin LOVES Toby Keith... I'm sure she'll pop by to tell you all about it! :lmao:

I don't like male country singers... (sorry  ).

I DO like Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, and quite a few others...

I need an all-girl country station. :music:

Male: Toby Keith (probably one of the best concerts I've ever been to) & Kenny Chesney

Female: Sara Evans & I really like Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland

Right now I'm really into Shooter Jennings.

When I got to college I told my new roommate I would listen to any type of music but country. She listened to country only! Country won out and I was hooked. Back then (early 90's) I loved Garth Brooks & Lorrie Morgan.

My stepdad told us this when he moved in almost 6 years ago. My sister and I were raised on country (hey we live in the boonies). He now has multiple country stations programmed in his car :thumbsup2 He also now goes around announcing that his absolute favorite song is Red Neck Yachtclub. So much for hating country :lmao:

I'm JEALUOUS! I want to go to a Toby Keith concert soooooo bad! He's coming to the Philly area in August - but the ticket prices are outrageous!

Favorite Male:
1. Alan Jackson
2. Toby Keith -- I agree was a very good concert, had 6th Row tickets!

Favorite Female:
1. Martina McBride -- going to her concert May 7, row 3 can't wait!!!!!!
2. Reba
3. Carrie Underwood

I have many but if I had to choose just one, I'd say John Rich from Big and Rich. He released a solo album last month and besides looking so incredibly hot (I'm drooling just thinking of the man!) he has the voice of an angel! :cloud9: :lovestruc
It's really hard to notice how well he actually can sing from the Big and Rich songs.

Favorite female singer, I have way too many, but love a lot of older ones like Patsy Cline, Crystal Gayle, etc. Artists from today my favorites would be Faith Hill, Sara Evans and Trisha Yearwood.

You bet your Boot in the A$$ I will!

Ahhh, Toby.:lovestruc What a MAN, what a voice! He's such a good singer, and so funny, such great songs! Toby's concerts are great! His voice is even stronger live. And he's very funny live, too! I lo-o-ove Toby Keith (his only downfall may be the funky-looking shirts. But he looks so good in them!) Toby was on Jay Leno last night will be on Craig Whathisname tonight! Got MY DVR set!

...Merle Haggard & George Strait tie for a very distant Second Place, and then Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Joe Nichols, and Brad Paisley.

Girls...Patsy Cline, of course. Dolly, Reba, Terri Clark, a few Martina McBride songs, and honorable mention to Gretchen Wilson for the Redneck Woman song, which is THE best country-girl song ever.

I wondered if anyone would mention Gretchen. She's from here (where I live) so everyone is ALL about her. In fact, my sis and dh's brother got to meet her at Wal-Mart a few months ago- she was there doing a signing and sis and BIL (used to) work for Wal-Mart.

I worked for Wal-Mart when her cd came out- and everyone came in "Gretchen was my neighbor." "Gtrechen used to go to my school." "My uncle's neighbors dog used to like Gretchen's mom's dog." Everyone had a "I know Gretchen" story.

 RANDY TRAVIS love that man.
Female would be Dolly Pardon. Am I telling my age? :goodvibes
