for better or worse

I just got my festival of the lion king in the mail and it started me thinking.


What pin or pins have you gotten that were either much better than you expected or just didn't live up to what you thought they would be?

For example the Festival of The Lion King is bigger and brighter than I thought it would be.
But the merchantainment pin is smaller and duller.


HOw about you?

has had this happen? I know there are other pins I liked better in person and others I didn't like when it wasn't in the picture.

My husband & I were just talking about this. I was going to start a new thread & here you are. We bought the TDS presale for Snow White. It comes with a pin. I was excited because Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs is one of my favorite Disney movies. Well, the pin looks & feels cheap & only comes with a metal back. Snow White isn't even on the pin! Maybe I'll add it to my list of traders!

Well, after last year's Star Wars pins I wasn't expecting much from 2001. What a surprise. These pins were big and very well made. The R2D2 projecting Mickey was a stunner. And I don't even like Star Wars all that much.

I couldnt wait to get the Epcot spinner with the mickey heads cut out to show
all the flags.....ick!! when it came I was so disappointed in it. Traded it without
batting an eye.

I have a few that I dont think were as nice as the pix made them out to be.

But I got the 2000 Mickey/Gold Castle pin yesterday in the mail and it is much
prettier than it scanned....yippee!!

I also love my International Mickey set they are much cutier in person than on
line....
