For any of those that work from home

I am also looking for a work at home job. I would love to take calls for Disney or Carnival. I love those companies.... maybe I'll look into that. My reason for wanting to do an "at home" instead of a brick and mortar type job is commute time. We live 25 miles from the nearest city (which is pretty small) where the jobs are. We are in a rural farming town. There is one small gas station in the next town over and that's it. My kids will all be in school. :cool1: Good luck with your search and wish me luck with mine. :)

Arise virtual solutions takes calls for Disney and I believe one of the cruise companies! I don't work currently for Arise but have been doing customer service calls for several companies over the years at home! I work early in the morning before kids get up for school and the during the school day! I love it and works out super for my family. I also do early morning weekends as well.

I work from home FT but I worked for the company at their HQ for 8 years before I moved to WAH (at their suggestion, actually, they needed my divisions office space!). If you're looking to WAH to avoid child care issues, I'm sorry to say that unless you have older children that need minimal supervision, it won't work too well. My DH works night and I work from home, and we'll still need child care for our infant because I have to do my job and can't care for her, and DH needs to sleep. Seems nuts that two adults are at home during the day and we still need part time child care, but there it is. Even if I wanted to, I can't watch my DD while working as it is against my company's telecomutte policy, and besides they are paying me to work, not be a SAHM. I think you'll find most company policies will prohibit being the caretaker of children while working, unless you are truely doing independent contract work.

All that said, there are benifits to working from home of course. Just do your research and be sure whatever you wind up doing is legit and a good fit for your personality. I know I couldn't do party sales but other people do great at it, for example.

I've worked from home for several years - as a medical transcriptionist and I also work for Arise which was previously mentioned. It's phone work, so it doesn't work for many.

Working at home isn't for everyone, and legit jobs are definitely hard to come by. It's frequently more difficult than working at a normal B&M type job.

I don't know who they staff through, but UHAUL, UPS, and 1-800-flowers I know hire work at home agents. Maybe check out the telecommuting jobs section of Monster or whatever that other online job site is (can't recall the name).

Good luck in your search. Hopefully you'll find something with some of the leads given :thumbsup2

How much does it cost to get started with Arise?
