Ok. I am about to purchase a new MacBook with the Intel Processor. But, I have some questions about the whole VMK playing thing. (I'm currently using a Dell Windows-based computer, so VMK works)

1. Can I play VMK WITHOUT running any kind of BootCamp thing and using windows? I DO NOT like Windows anymore, and I don't want to have to use it on this new computer.
2. If so, how does VMK play on this computer?
3. If not, what do I need to buy in order to make it work? (NO BOOTCAMP or WINDOWS)

I really am looking forward to getting this new computer but I do want to play VMK on it. I do have some other windows-based computers, so I guess if push comes to shove I can go and use those to play VMK. But thats really not something I want to do.

I use both a G4 Tower and G4 Laptop.
To use VMK I just use either Safari or IE.

Some players have said that the 'mini games' are a bit slower on a Mac but, I stink so bad at them that I would never know!

The problem right now is that Adobe does not have a Universal binary for Shockwave. You will need to run one of your browsers with Rosetta. I have done it with Firefox. You will get instructions when you try to install Shockwave initially.

Are you talking about one of the new MacBooks?

I'd appreciate it if someone could just post some sort of step by step guide for me... perhaps I could reward some VMK items for it?

So all I need to do is run it in Rosetta mode and it will play VMK? Is it considerably slower than running on a windows computer or does it have any negative effects?

There are some upsides and downsides to owning a macbook if you want to play vmk.

The lag isn't as bad in guest rooms. And it's a little quicker to load on Mac.

It has a horrible time catching itself up with the chatting and games.

I'm kinda new to mac because I've just recently puchased one myself. I love the fact the computer never freezes. you wil fall in love with it and it will only be a matter of time before shockwave will update.
