IF YOU think that you have a problem......and you are scared.....DO NOT WAIT FOR HEALTH insurance to kick in.......GO.......alot of hospitals are doing Mammograms for free....if you have no health care .....go and ask.......IF they aren't doing the free mammos.......then make arrangements to pay so much a week........you know how many places would be willing to do this......SO DO NOT WALK......BUT RUN TO YOUR nearest Imaging center and look into it.......No one should go months worrying about things.......Please just do it

Pembo is right folks. I work at a county hospital and we don't turn anyone away. There is ALWAYS some way to get help. We have sliding scale assistance as well as all the state and federal programs. Our people work hard to connect everyone to some type of program and if that fails they work out payment programs. We realize a lot of it will just go unpaid but that is what we are there for.

So, when there are issues on the ballots for social services in your area, see if providing health care to those who have none might also be part of that issue. Every little bit helps and there are so many in need these days.

Don't forget the Catholic hospitals usually have very good programs also.
