For adults: Blizzard or Typhoon??

If you are adventurous and want fun slides then Blizzard Beach.
Plus: Great slides, Family Raft Ride, Ski lift to the top.

If you want more laid back tropical lush then Typhoon Lagoon.
Plus: Snorkel pool, Crusher Gusher.

Both have lazy rivers. Both have straight drop centerpieces.
TL Wave Pool is powerful and strong, BB Wave Pool is bobbing waves.

Hopper fan you're my hero

Now if you have kids under 12 that adds another spin to it. Blizzard Beach totally designed areas of the park for them with the Ski Patrol Training Area and Tikes Peak. They learned a lot from TL before building the second park.

BB has better slides, IMO. But I would choose TL to snorkel with the sharks.

Ok.. haven't been to any of the waterparks.. so elaborate on this for me LOL

Both are great, but Typhoon has a little area where you can snorkel with sharks, rays, and beautiful fish. The water is FREEZING but it is so much fun! Typhoon has great slides, but they're mostly tame (with a couple exceptions). The slides at BB are a little more adventurous. I also think the TL wave pool is better. So both parks are great in their own way!

Typhoon Lagoon because of the wave pool, so much fun...one of my favorite things to do in all of WDW!!! Plus the Shark Reef is awesome, really cool snorkeling along with Sharks, Rays, and other tropical fish.

I vote TL. We find a nice shade spot in the sand. Tamer slides. This is without kids. BB for bigger slides.

Thanks! I will have to run this past the hubs... we get one free water park with our deal so I want to choose wisely... There will be 5 of us "adults" and 2 that are 8 :)

Theming made a massive difference for us. Being northererns, the winter lodge theme of Blizzard Beach was a huge turn-off. We go to Florida to get away from the snow. The BB wave pool was also a disappointment. We much preferred Typhoon Lagoon.

For us....Aquatica gets the nod over both of the Disney waterparks, though. Its got the best combination of thrill rides, tropical atmosphere, and family-friendliness. Roa's Rapids is a park highlight....a ton of fun, and totally different from any of the usual waterpark attractions. They have wonderful cabanas that are WAY less expensive than Disney's as well, complete with an in-cabana locker, fridge, bottled water, towels, and personal service from a cabana attendant.

Typhoon, for sure. To decide we did BB and TL back to back... much preferred the wave pool at TL!

I agree with this!! I love Typhoon Lagoon! That wave pool is awesome! We go back and forth between the wave pool, lazy river, and swimming with the sharks.

We HATE blizzard beach. Too much climbing and carrying tubes...its so exhausting. We've been once...and NEVER AGAIN.

PS: I agree with the other poster that the "blizzard" theme is a turn off for us too (we're from Canada!)

We actually hated the famed TL wave pool. Cool novelty for a few minutes, but that was it. Family spent WAY more time in the BB wave pool. We did absolutely LOVE Crushin Gusher at TL & my oldest was addicted to shark reef. The body slides there are "okay". The tube & raft rides sucked. Don't bother.

Overall, we found "more" to do at BB even if our 2 favorites were at TL.

We will be going to a water park this trip also. I think our choice will be TL . It will just be my granddaughter and myself. So what would be the best option for us to do concerning our belongings and changing ? Do we rent a locker to put our belonging's in and just use our magic bands to buy food or snacks ? Does TL have a place to change into our suits or should we wear them under our clothes ?

There's a change room, but I'd wear your suits to the park. We always get a locker.

Thanks yes I was thinking of just wearing them under some clothes. Do you leave everything in the locker or take some things with you.
