We are leaving for our first DVC adventure on July 9 for arrival at the world on July 10. We are taking the 81 77 26 95 route from Syracuse NY and are looking for recent trip reports for this route.

BC - can you text? It's a lot easier than trying to call and leave phone messages, especially when trying to find each other in a park. Or will you be online while you're there? I have a few days where we definitely know our schedule, but the rest will be winging it.
I know you don't like to publicize anything, so I'll PM you, Dave and Pam my tentative days schedules and we can see if there's the possibility of ALL of us someplace at the same time. I'll probably do that tomorrow because unlike DAVE, we are NOT packed and still have stuff to do.
well, the gardener didnt show up so i may have the van packed but i had to trim and mow the grass, spray weeds, touch up paint on the house and garage. than, my boss is insisting i work till friday at 1:30 so i have a dozen blue prints to get through before i leave. but all i have to do is grab my pillow and im outta here!!!!

Ok, I have a question...mainly for dvczerfs, but I'd appreciate anyone chiming in.
Gasbuddy and Google Maps both tell me to take (from East Stroudsburg, PA - Poconos) 80-33-22-78-81-83-581-270-495-95-4!!!
This seems like a lot of road changes. I guess it's just two more than 78-81-77-26-95-4, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever taken this way? If not, I'll stick with what dvczerfs and some others have recommended which is 78-81-77-26-95-4.

going 81-77-26-4 the biggest problem your going to have is getting to rt33!!!! i think pendot decided to dig up all of i80 in eastburg at one time!! i have a client behind eastburg high school, i turn by that exxon station. ive been coming up 611 to i80 to marshalls creek,turning left at the first light to get over there. what a mess up there. anyway, ill be going 81-77-26-4 this weekend, ill let you know how i made out.

hi angela , i would stick to 81-77-26-95-4. gas buddy is sending you into the greater washington dc and baltimore area. alot of traffic and multi lanes. mostly just bumper to bumper traffic. to get to 81, i would go 33 to 78. when you pass the nazareth exit on 33, wave to your right.
) so traffic on 80 in that area (right after the Main Street exit going east) has been a little backed up during the day the last few days. Hopefully they find a solution to that!
i think we are going to bring the lap top anyway. we dont get free internet (we are not staying on points at a dvc resort) so i have to pay for it and im cheap.

I'm a mile and a half away from that light in Marshalls Creek! "It's a small world!" Pendot certainly is reeking havoc in my neck of the woods for sure. So glad I know lots of back roads to get around all the mess.
Just a warning for when you come back...they've closed the 7th street bridge (until next DEC!!!!
