FoP with FP but the Pandor lines are 3 hours? Please explain.

I have read the lines to get into Pandor can be 3 hours. So how does it work if the line just to get in is 3 hours but you have a FP for FoP? Do I have to get in line 3 hours ahead of time just to make my FP? Is that the stand by line? Can some explain how this works? Is there a thread explaining this? I am going to be there in 12 days and my family has started to panic. Thank you

The standby is 3 hours. When you get to the attaction there are 2 'tap in' lines. One is SB the other FP. Go to the FP one. There's also a thread about FP that has alot of more useful info. https://www.disboards.com/forums/theme-parks-attractions-and-strategies.2/

The 3 hours to get into Pandora were only an occurrence on opening day. After that he land has been either open to come and go as you please or has had a relatively short wait period.
But with a fp, in the rare instance that it is a controlled access, they will let you in with no wait
