Just wanted to know what everyone wears on their feet while in the parks?.... We have an upcoming trip planned in February and was thinking about trying some type of sandle one day. I have flat feet so I know I'm good in sneakers but would really love to try some comfy sandle. Any suggestions? :)

If you have a Walking Company store near you, go there. They have a computer that analyzes your feet and gives you suggestions. Some styles are even cute!

My go-to shoes for Busch Gardens Williamsburg (we do about 6-8 miles of walking there with a lot of hills) are fit flops. I personally don't like the look, but they're the only flip flop I can wear while standing or walking for long periods of time.

Right now I'm having a bad toe nail summer so I'm in Nike Free cross trainers for Busch Gardens. They're light and comfortable but I'd rather be in fit flops.

And they will not look like granny shoes?

Actually, no! I only wear cute shoes and flip flops and I got a pair that looked like my Sperry flip flops, but they are really comfortable! Most are awful, but you can fine a few good ones.

Merrell!

I have foot issues and all I wear are Merrell's. I have 3 different sandals from them and their mocs and hikers for the winter. I do have a pair of sneakers for work, but those are Brooks.

Merrell's are VERY cute too. I can't wear flip flops at all but Merrell does make them. I get either slides or ones with a heel strap. Definitely NOT old lady ;)

I actually own the Hollyleaf pair, very comfy!

I love my croc flip flops have 3 pairs. Love the sound they make when they get wet :lmao: they dry so quickly.

personally I wear running shoes in the parks mostly, croc flip flops, and pretty sexy shoes for nice dinner.

I have 2 pairs of Croc flip flops. One pair I got in Disney!!... I might go with the merrells. They look nice. Hoping I can maybe find them a little bit cheaper?

For my WDW trip in 2010, I bought a new pair of closed toe Tevas ($60) and they took me everywhere with no foot pain whatsoever & did NOT need to be broken in. In May of this year, I sprung for a pair of Merrell sandals for our Disney Med Cruise and they were amazing. Even after 8 hours of running in Rome, I had no foot pain! This frugal girl could barely swallow the cost of those ($100), but I do not regret it for a minute. I also brought along my Croc mary janes ($20 online) , which I think are much cuter than the standard Crocs and they were very, suprisingly!, comfy as well.

I have foot and leg issues.

So I recommend Dansko Sandals, they are the only sandal I can wear all day and night and nothing hurts. No break in needed.

They are expensive, but you should be able to find a pair on sale this time of year. Try them on at the Walking Company then order them on line for a better price. I have yet to find a sandal that gives me the support that Dansko does.

There are several different styles, find the one that works best for you.

I love love love my Skechers gowalk 2! They aren't sandals but they look a little like loafers and are super comfy.

I'll second this!!!!

I have a pair that are strictly for the Parks.

They are FANTASTIC!!!(and they have lots of yummy colors!):thumbsup2

Probably not. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I've had my Merell's for years. Every other summer I buy a new pair (I have 4 pairs) and my first pair is still ok, but probably won't make it through next summer. They LAST.

Do the Merrells have good support?... I think I'm leaning towards them.
Yes they do. I can't wear any other kind of sandal. Teva, Croc, Clark, Keen, nothing else but the Merrell's. I had to give my DSIL two brand new pairs of Teva's because I was in agony from my back after wearing them a couple hours. Try them on before buying though, everyone is different. As you know, they are expensive and I would hate for you to buy them online and then not like them!

Merrell's have great support. I have clogs and lace ups.

But because I have a narrow foot I have problems with the sandals. My foot moves around too much - even with the flip flops.

Now the Clark sandals never give me a problem. I can wear those forever. You can usually get the Breeze Sea flip flop for $40-50 most of the time.

My SIL has a wide foot but she loves the Clarks too.
