I've always worn my Teva sandals to tour WDW and they have served me well in the past. I'm hearing about the crocs and thinking that they might be a good alternative, but I'm not sure I'm convinced to turn in my Tevas. Do the crocs stay on your feet when you are on rides? (eg. RNRC, Soarin..) Are they slippery when wet? Tevas stay on so well and have such good traction that those are the things I would not want to give up. Of course, my Tevas are comfy, too, but those Crocs look darn confy, too. Anyone switch from Tevas to Crocs? Why? Thanks!

It's been a long time since I wore Tevas (other than the Mush flip flops, which are FAB!), but Crocs are the only shoes I want to wear when I go to the parks. They have a back strap that you can use to keep them on your feet, and they have excellent traction. In fact, from what I can remember, the Crocs have better traction than the Tevas I used to have.

For example, the other day, we had a major rainstorm and I did not slip at all on the polished concrete areas at my work. If I had been wearing anything other than Crocs, I know I would have slipped.

I have never worn Tevas, so I am bias on Crocs. My dd6 loves her crocs, she just got pink ones she will never wear anything else unless it is snowing and raining she has her crocs on. I will be buying more crocs for my next vacation to dw in Aug.. I LOVE CROCS, but they do get slippery when wet if you wear the traction off the bottoms of the shoes .

My whole family, including 3 children ages 3, 5, and 13, wear Tevas. We have a couple of pairs each. Something our older ds learned the hard way a couple of years ago is that you get what you pay for with Tevas. The less expensive styles do not compare in any way with the $60 and up versions. Dh and I wear our Tevas in place of tennis shoes in the summer!

I would think cross training or running sneakers would be the best. No?

I wore most of the tread off my 1st pair of Crocs & now they are very slippery. I've had them a little less than a year but, put a lot of miles on them. Should have known better than to wear them on dusting of snow owwwww! Tried to break in a pair of Tevas but, never succeeded. I like the more covered up look on my feet anyway. Do have a pair of Croc Niles but, the seem to irritate the sole of my foot.

Love my Tevas! I wore them the past 2 trips & just bought a new pair for April. Very comfortable - I forget I have them on. Velcro keeps them nice and secure so they don't fall off on rides. I also bought a pair of their flip flops to try this summer. :goodvibes

My feet get too hot in sneakers at WDW. I like the tevas because the soles are supportive like a sneaker, but my feet stay cool because they are sandals. Also, they are water-ride friendly, unlike sneakers and soggy socks.
