Food & Wine Festival-opening weekend

Wondering how crowded DCA will be on the opening weekend of the F&W Festival? We’ve been a few times but never on the opening weekend.

We’re PassHolders this year and go often enough to know it’s almost always crowded. Just curious if anyone has been on the opening weekend? Actually, bringing a friend this time that hasn’t been in over 10 years and can get anxiety from large crowds.

I don't know, but I'll be there on opening weekend too. I can't wait! I hope it's not too crazy.

Well, I think there's a difference between crowded = I can't walk anywhere! vs. crowded = they ran out of all my favorite food!
We haven't done opening weekend in a while, but I think the crowds picked up when the APs rolled in after work and it was more about lines for food and booths waiting to get replenished. The walkways were crowded, but not packed.

Lol, yes, I’m more worried about I can’t walk easily crowds than they ran out of my favorite food level crowds. I’m assuming the lines will be way longer than I want to wait in!
