Food & Wine Festival Event Tickets?

I think it would be hard to enforce "non-transferable".
I really don't think they will check ID, only the name and res #.
I made reservations for several people in my party, and only my name was given.
Has anyone had to show ID for a res in the past?

I think twice out of all the events I have ever been to.

This year is different, though. Because of the nontransfer rule they might require the reservation holder to show ID. That's the only name they have, though. As long as the reservation holder is there they don't have any way to check who they brought along.

What if someone bought tickets to F&W special events as presents for someone else? Can WDW refuse a guest entrance if their name is not the same as the original ticket-buyer?

agnes!
PS - Hey, I can dream, can't I? Getting a F&W special event ticket as a gift...

Aggie, I don't know - maybe you should call WDW and check on that one because of the no transfer rule (if it's actually relevant to anything)

Sure you won't be at any of the events I'm at? I've got 11 of them :rotfl:

You know, that's actually a legitimate question. We bought MVMCP tickets and some other special event tickets for our daughter and son-in-law as surprise wedding gifts last year. Their names were not on them at all. The F&W tickets I purchased for this year are all in my name, though I purchased entrance for five to the whooping two events I could secure.

They don't give out tickets. They have a list they check you off of when you arrive.

This year it's possible they will ask for ID on the person whose name they have on the list. Because they didn't ask for the other parties' names at booking, that's all they could possibly do. As to whether or not they'll do it, we'll have to wait until the festival opens to find out. I hope nobody actually bought tickets in their own name for other people this year.

LDF, if they go the ID route that will just mean YOU have to show up. You could no doubt bring anybody you wanted along.
