anyone stayed at BLT for the food/wine festavial?

did you have any problems with the monrail service?

how about the lines for the monrail when Epcot closed - were they long?

Good question! We will be staying there too this year (2011) and would like to hear anybody's input as well......

Should not be a problem. We have only experienced long lines during very busy seasons.

The monorail was a trainwreck the week we were there...Dec 5 - 11th...

Leaving epcot wasnt hard, but getting back to BLT was...Once we waited for the resort monorail, and the second time we took the MK Express back and walked from there - it was MUCH faster.

We experienced something similar during F&W/MNSSHP. One night when MNSSHP was not going on, we arrived at the T&TC when MK was closing. The resort monorail was packed, so we rode the express monorail to MK. Then we swam upstream through the MK monorail exit crowd and walked back to BLT. The MK exit was wall to wall people as far into MK as we could see.

For us, I believe it had a lot to do with MNSSHP closed the park early 3 out of 4 days. The result was many who weren't going to MNSSHP went to MK on the night we were there.

Perhaps there is a similar pattern with MVMCP?

I was at BLT and the F&W festival this past November and I did not have any problems with the monorail service to or from Epcot. Of course I've been at Disney World other times and experienced waits for the monorail usually because something had broke down and needed immediate repair before service could resume. So I guess it's probably more hit and miss depending on any issues with the monorail than issues due to F&W.
