Food Vouchers...Thank You ...Thank You Thank YOu

Thanks to all of you for your help in connection with the vouchers from Connections. My family had never been to Disney before( myself , DH, DS16,and DD13). I purchased 10 quick and casual and 4 vacation lunch. Thanks to all your help with sharing and which restruants to go to we ate great . We were able to share and always leave feeling full. We especially enjoyed steak and lobester twice at rainforest cafe( we used only 2 vacation vouchers each time for the four of us.) And Beaches and Cream was incredable. We even walked away leaving some ice cream we were so full,and believe me my guys can eat (so can I ) . I fell like we had a great time and saved money too thanks to all of you!

Did they give you a hard time getting steak and lobster with one voucher? Did they give you an upgrade on the steak? If you don't mind, could you give detailed info on what you got to eat when you used all the vouchers everywhere (to the best of your memory, of course!)? Thanks!

They never give us a problem with sharing...we tell them and they bring two plates. We get the stuffed lobster (not on the menu)and steak (and upgrade the steak to a bigger portion at no extra cost). Sometimes we exchange the lobster for the coconut shrimp (we still ask for the lobster and steak first, as you get a lot more shrimp, than if you get their regular shrimp and steak).
With one voucher we get an appetizer..(usually the chips and crab dip or a shrimp cocktail), the main meal, water for me (tap) and soda for hubby) and share the Banana foster. Way more food than we should be eating, and that's one voucher.

There seem to be the quick lunch vouchers, lunch vouchers and breakfast vouchers. Are they all available from connections? Also, where are the lunch vouchers that cost $30 good at?

If you look at the very first post on the board titled "list of restaurants for meal vouchers" it has all the different types of vouchers and where they can be used.

Yes,you can purchase all of them from connections.

It looks like the Q&C are for the counter service type places in the parks (see list posted on this board for locations). Each voucher is about 11.50 and includes entree, side, beverage, desert, tax, and tip. If you get a combo meal, your side is already included, so you probably won't get another. Each place has their own interpretation of what menu items they will include with the vouchers. Some places have very good value (Pepper Market, B&C), others may have no value. The VKL vouchers are 30.50 and are for some of the nicer, sit down restaraunts in the parks. These have good value if you would like to try a normally expensive place for a full meal, but don't want to spend dinner prices. I believe they include entree, side, appetizer, desert, non alcoholic beverage, tax, and tip. You can view the normal menus at www.wdwig.com and determine if you would normally spend at least that much on your meal. There are also breakfast and dinner vouchers (supposedly) available at a lesser savings. Be hesitant about joining the co that supplies these vouchers-Connections/Simple Escapes- as they have a history of double billing, and other bad business practices.
