I am trying to plan possible meals for me and my son while we are at Universal.
Are there any restaurants that need a reservation (similar to Disney's ADR)
We will be going the first week of February.. are the crowds pretty low at that time?
We are also staying on the Disney properties as it is mostly a family vacation at Disney, however I want to bring my son to US/IOA so we are going to take a few days away and do our own thing:cool1:
There is a Mears bus right? How do I make reservations for that and how soon do I have to make one?
Also wondering what the cost would be?
We want to do 2 days (one for each park) and thus will need transportation for both days.
Thanks for all your help:thumbsup2

Welcome Erica to the darkside.No planning needed,no 10month ADR's.
Febuary is kinda slow still as far as crowds. So any restraunt is pretty much no waite time.I as many would sugdjest Mytho's at IOA,one of the very best theme park rest you can eat at.They are only open for lunch tho.
Mears do offer roundtrip transportation,I think its like $18 per.
You should get there before opening the days you go to see each park, espiacally if you want to ride RRR at the Studios.
Other then that,I'm sure youre gonna have A great time!!:thumbsup2

Erica, Cody will absolutely love Universal. It is a great boy's park. In early Feb. you should need to do any planning. Just go and have a blast. My son always loved Mythos at that age for lunch. Give it a try. You can probably just book your transportation a few days in advance.

Bula's, the pool bar & grill at the Royal Pacific Resort is worth the short boat ride over. Our last trip there I had a great steak wrap (big enough to share), DH and friends had chicken sandwiches and an excellent burger. The prices are very low for what you get (especially when comparing prices to WDW,) and the peaceful atmosphere make this a great respite from the parks.
