Thank you! Honestly, I wasn't wearing that dress to "dress up"~ I was wearing that dress because it was so darn HOT, and I thought I would be cooler in that than pants or capris (I don't "do" shorts. )

Looks like you had a great day without your kids.

Yes, we try to make the most of our short time while the kids are little, but it sure is nice to have a little bit of time to just be Brian and Connie instead of Mommy and Daddy.

Awesome pics! One of my besties and her hubby just celebrated their anniversary at a vineyard. I would love to do that someday!

And I think the wine is pronounced: ga-vez-der-meaner, or something like that. It's one of my favorite white wines. That and Reislings. Very yummy dessert wines! Try Resiling Chateau St. Michele!

I tried a Reisling at the wine tasting...it was a little too dry for my taste. The dessert wines at Arrington were TOO DIE FOR! They give you a little chocolate truffle to have with the dessert wine...sip, eat truffle, sip...HEAVEN! Such a burst of pure delight!

I've always wanted to do a wine tasting. It looks like a beautiful place.

This was our first time doing a vineyard/wine tasting. I am just not a big wine person. I like fruity fru~fru stuff. Brian really likes wine and had been wanting to try this place. He wanted to take me on a romantic date...a gal just can't say no to that!

Mmmmm! Looks like it was a lovely meal! Glad your enjoying your time alone We get ours late in August this year and as much as we looove always having DD around we are REALLY looking forward to some 'us' time!!

I've noticed things have been quiet around here too. Guess people are enjoying summer time and not on the computer as much. that's a good thing i guess but I posted my HS day a week ago and got no comments so I'm on strike. LOL No posting til i accumulate some comments.

I tell you, Brian and I talked about how we stayed up an hour or two later each night while the kids were gone and STILL woke up more refreshed and ready for the day. You just don't realize how children drain your energy until they are not there to drain it. My parents are already looking forward to keeping the kids for a week during fall break and so are we!

Well folks, sorry I didn't get an actual trip update done this week. I need to upload my Day 5 pictures onto photobucket. I will try to do that this weekend and get started on that leg of the TR next week. Tomorrow night will be our third monthly MOVIE NIGHT!!! We will be doing The Princess and the Frog this month. My BFF and her family will be joining us tomorrow night. I will be sure to take pictures and do a Movie Night post next week as well. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Well, our fields are starting to look a little greener now. After no rain all summer it has now rained every day for a week straight...torrential downpours!

Movie Night Update!!!!

Our movie was The Princess and the Frog! We had a great time. My BFF and her family joined us. The kids didn't really watch the movie all the way through...they kept going in and out of the room to play and then watch and then play some more. It was okay. Fun was had by all and of course I photodocumented the occasion...

Just watching that movie, the French Quarter scenes made me miss PO too!!! And the music....reminded me of the boat ride down the Sassagoula River. October 2013 cannot come soon enough!
