Hello all!

In just 5 days.....yes just 5! We will be enjoying our first official food pornatopia!
This will not be the first time we used the dining plans or ate our way through the world but it will be our first documented adventure.
Ok a little background...

Meprincess: - age..let's just say old enough to drink..hehe. Disney lover, ok well maybe a little Disney obsessed but you have to have a passion right??? 13th trip to the world. Although I was a late bloomer and didn't make my first trip until I was in my late 20's. I totally fell in love with all the disney parks! Pretty much have always used a dining plan since it seemed whoever was my boyfriend at the time's happiness centered on food and lots of it.

Dbf - this one's a keeper:hug:...although if I could change one thing about him...it would be his dislike of Disney. Maybe I shouldn't say dislike of Disney per se...but dislike of going to Disney every year. Hey, ya know..he knew about this when he met me. This one is also motivated by food.....food and golf!...and well maybe a couple of other things we can't mention here...lol

So this trip I have tried to work in a lot of things I know he will like. Which is my strategy to make it easier to get him to agree to come back. sneaky...right? I lure him into conversations about disney by showing him menus, telling him about new restaurants....but completely by accident....I caught his attention. I was looking at pics of disney food on the dis ...when he asked " what's that?" I answered and said "food porn". Well the look on his face had to be the same look as Columbus when he discovered America:love:. Well after a little explanation and showing him a couple more pics....he finally said the other night....we should take pics and write everything down and post some of that food porn stuff.

And so is the history of our title.

The plan....

CSR from 9/30 to 10/3 with regular dining plan
BCV from 10/3 to 10/7 deluxe dining plan

After many....I mean mmaannnnnnyyyyyy revisions here are our adr's

9/30 - arrival day EARL OF SANDWICH - POST #20
leaving this one open to do a counter service( maybe WPE or the Pepper Market) and maybe some snacks before MNSSHP
BONUS MEAL - COLUMBIA HARBOUR HOUSE - POST #21

10/1 - counter service - probably somewhere in HS...I know I know...this will be a tough one - Pepper Market - Post # 25
Dinner - Flying Fish Cafe followed by Cirque du Soleil - Post # 32

10/2 counter service - probably Flame Tree BBQ but that is negotiable - Post#33
Dinner - The coveted( hear the angels singing?):littleangel::littleangel: Le Cellier - post # 37

10/3 -Breakfast - Captain's Grill...this may also be thrown off according to how long it will take us to check in - POST 38
Afternoon - Dis meet at the Poly...so you may get a pic of a Lapu Lapu or 2....after that..the pics tend to get a little blurry:confused3 - Sorry..no lapu lapu. We missed the dis meet for the most part. Met a few people. If any of you are reading this....it was a pleasure! I did have a rum runner but no pic.
Dinner - ah yesss....angels singing again:littleangel::littleangel: - Ohana. Now let me post a disclaimer. Ohana's is ok. Dbf however ...for some reason...really enjoys this. So I worked long and hard to get this adr for him. - post # 43

Dinner - Narcoossees - post # 50

10/5 - Breakfast - Boma change - Cape May Cafe - post #57

10/6 - Breakfast - Kona..sorry Kona got cut...Tokyo Dining- post # 77

10/7 - Lunch - Via Napoli post #63this was actually lunch on 10/6
Ok before you say" you're crazy" ....a disclaimer...we will have a rental car and dbf has a time limit in the parks before he turns into that famous dwarf grumpy:mad:.

- See I told you he turns into Grumpy....lol

Dbf has never been to the food and wine festival. Our plan for this...is to eat or drink something in each and every country. The fact that Dbf doesn't drink, leaves the horrible task of partaking of the adult beverages on my own. I do have a good work ethic and would hate to disappoint anyone so I will try my best to make you all proud;)!!!

And so the adventure begin in....( see ticker below):dance3:princess::scared1::confused3:cool1::sad2::sad2::idea::grouphug::goodvibes

Ooh, how exciting! Can't wait to see the food porn you come home with! :goodvibes popcorn::

Can't wait....your DBF sounds like my DH...no Disney for us every year :sad1: but the food porn caught his eye, along with the fact that they are booking the free dining plan out an entire year. He liked the idea of a Disney Layaway vacation. :rotfl: So we are doing 10 days next September at Pop on DXDP. :woohoo:

oooh...layaway vacation...I may have to use that one.:thumbsup2

:rotfl2::lmao:

Too funny. Your title caught my eye and your line-up of restaurants look great. Can't wait to hear all about it. Have a great trip!

I am also a Food and Wine Festival food pornographer. I will probably take photos of everything again, even if I have similar shots from last year's festival.

I probably won't see your posts if you start after you return, because I'm heading down two days after you leave. ;)

Armed with my camera, my disney gift card and a bottle of Tums....the adventure begins tomorrow!

I'm in! You're the first dining review I'm subscribing to! Can't wait to hear about Boma and Kona breakfast!

I hope you're enjoying your trip! I can't wait for you to get back and start your reviews :goodvibes

oooh, I'm in! Looking forward to hearing your reviews.

Also, some ammo to keep Dbf coming back and you may already know this. Disney has world class golf courses! not a golfer myself but keeping it in mind if DH starts complaining about our yearly trips.

Bring on the food porn!

ok back. and several pounds heavier....uggh. There are some changes to the previous plan...but still good reviews nonetheless. Oh ....and just to let you all know....we sacrificed ourselves to complete the entire food and wine festival for all of you. heheh....I learned the guilt trip from all the old italian ladies I grew up around. Anyway...hope to get the first report up tonight or tomorrow.
Talk you all soon!

LET THE FOOD PORN BEGIN!!!!!

After our long trek to the world our first stop was at guest services at Downtown Disney to pick up our $200 rewards card. Now you'd think wow.......$200.00....but the downfall of doing the deluxe dining plan is the $200 went very quickly on tips. Anyway, I digress. So...after picking up our rewards card we were very hungry. Apparently free money tends to spark our appetite. So after considering several options....we figured Wolfgang Puck's Express would be a good bet( yes I know this is titled Earl of Sandwich......keep reading) however the smell of toasted bread and chocolate brownies wafting out of this oasis of sandwiches called to us. So in order to give a fair review....we ordered 2 sandwiches and split them so each of us had 1/2. Dbf decided he needed some cole slaw and after a flashback of John and Kevin talking about these brownies on a podcast, I figured I'd better give them a try.

P9300009.JPG

The Caprese - Sliced fresh Mozzarella, Roma tomato, fresh basil and drizzled virgin olive oil.

P9300010.JPG

The Original 1762 (Hot Sandwich) - Fresh roasted beef, creamy horseradish sauce & cheddar cheese. Fresh made to order on Artisan Baked Loaf.

P9300011.JPG

The yummy yummy brownie!

Sorry no pic of the cole slaw.

All in all ....both sandwiches were.....hmmm ....what's the word I'm looking for?:confused3...oh yes, AWESOME!!!! The coleslaw got mixed reviews. I liked it alot. DBF said it was ok. This is not the shredded coleslaw but more like pieces of small cabbage....so it could've just been the texture thing for him.

The Ghirardelli brownie also did not disappoint....as is expected for anything with the name Ghirardelli emblazoned on it.

The rating.......me - 9 out of 10
dbf - 8.5 out of 10

This one is a winner folks!:thumbsup2
