'Food porn' and other DL info on Yelp

Thanks I am really enjoying it!

I think our dining thread with reviews and food porn on this website is even better!:thumbsup2

You've definitely done a fantastic job, Sherry..it's really helped a 'WDW vet' like me plan a first trip to DL! Only six more weeks and we leave boring old Ohio for beautiful SoCal...:goodvibes

Oh no, I can't take any credit for the dining/food porn thread at all! That's not mine!:rotfl2: That was started by someone else - the elusive "Jeff Goldblum" - and has grown into quite an awesome thread full of wonderful photos and reviews, thanks to all of our amazing DIS'ers. In fact, that thread has been around for what seems like years. I'm shocked it hasn't reached its page limit yet!

(Thank you for the nice comments even though I have nothing to do with the dining thread, and was of no help at all!:rotfl2::goodvibes)

I hope you have a fantastic time on your first visit to DLR.:cool1: Have you, by any chance, been following along with Orca Potter's Trip Report ("East Meets West") over in the DLR Trip Reports section? It's a fabulous, detailed, well-written account of a WDW vet's first trip to DLR, including her interesting observations of the differences, pros and cons between WDW and DLR. I recommend it highly for anyone who hasn't read it - it's a great read, even if you are not a WDW vet visiting DLR for the first time!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info on the East meets West thread...can't wait to read it, and we appreciate the warm wishes for a fun trip. We can't WAIT. It will just be amazing to go to California; it's a whole different world from the midwest (I've been once, but DH has never been). We've been doing a lot of research about Walt and we are very excited to see his personal touches in their 'original' forms. While we love WDW we are more ready for this new adventure. We're also heading down to San Diego for a few days which will be jam packed with the zoo, Balboa Park, Coronado and a lovely little resort on Shelter Island...and LOTS of Mexican food as well as our first 'In and Out Burger' experience. We'll do a trip report, stay tuned! Thanks again :)
