We go through a ton of dried fruit and I am looking into getting a food dehydrator. I don't want to spend a ton of money on one, but maybe between $40-$60. I've seen some people swear by Nesco and others who say they are crap. Anyone have one that could advise me on what to get or what not to get? Or any other brand? Thanks

We got ours in a yard sale for a couple of dollars. Look there or on Craigslist. As long as you have enough trays for what you want to do it's nothing more than a small fan and a heater.

I hadn't thought about Craigslist. I hit two Goodwills and a Salvation Army yesterday and couldn't find one. I'll check out Craigslist and a few more Goodwill.

I almost threw mine out. Then decided to store it in a closet up stairs.
Glad I did. I am drying parsley now. Ended up with too much of it this year.

May just try other things.
Guess, once you get one. Keep it. may come in handy some day. Just be sure you have a place to store it LOL:goodvibes
