Food court?

Does the Fort have a food court like the other resorts? I know they have Trail's End and Hoop dee doo, but what about a place to just get a sandwich, etc. and a refillable mug?

If I'm not mistaken Trails End has a little "to go" area at the entrance closer to Hoop Dee Doo. I have grabbed a danish and coffee there but not lunch type stuff. Hopefully others will know for sure. I would bring some stuff to make that kind of stuff with because even though FW has the cheapest food it's still pricey.

Nope, no food court. Mugs are available at TE and refillable with coffee, tea and fountain drinks at TE. Refillable with coffee and tea at the Meadows store.

Fort Wilderness has the best buffet for the best price anywhere in WDW-I know it doesnt answer your q...but if ya can, stop and eat there, Great bang for your $

IIRC the carry out was available after 4:30 PM, the menu included fried chicken, boneless buffalo strips, pizza and nachos.
I think the best deal was the chicken dinner with fries and biscuits. It was $19.99 for 10 pcs of chicken, a good size portion of steak fries and 4 biscuits.

What I do for my quickie breakfast fix is take the early boat over to the Contemporary, have breakfast at their food 'n fun center food court, then head to the parks from there.

I think you can also boat to WL and go to their little quick bites take out place (I am blanking on the name right now).

Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner, You can get a takeout buffet fill your own containers. You can get enough food to feed two with one meal.

Trails End has donuts and pastries. Pretty quick too. I have stopped at WL too and gone in that little shop. The only bad thing about stopping over there is you have to get off the boat and then go to the store, then go catch another boat to MK. My best suggestion for this post is this. Go to a local grocery before you get near Orlando because I went to that Goodings on 535 and it was high as heck. You can buy danish's or whatever for 1/2 of what Disney is and keep it in the fridge and eat what you want. I go to WL for breakfast once in a while just because I like the atmosphere. Other days we either cook at the camper or have cereal. I do love that Disney coffee from the Meadow so I get that instead of my coffee. You burn up so much time eating. By going to the grocery u can get what u like and not have to settle for something u might not like and your choices are slim. I have really saved a lot cooking at the site and pre-cooking. Make a turkey breast in a bag. (great for sandwiches). I like going to say AKL to that nice buffet or other fancier resort restaurants and by not spending so much daily at other places because we cook I found we can afford that special dinner.

Roaring Forks is good for a quick bite over at the WL..especially in the morning. Of course you could take the boat on the way over to the MK and stop and have a bite..they also have a a refillable Mug station.
Am I to understand that if you want to eat at Trails End..you need to pay the buffet price...you can't purchase something individual to eat...it's buffet or buffet take out?...

You can also use your FW refillable mugs at the WL and vice versa. For breakfast, you can buy the danishes, cookies, etc individually at the Trail's End.

A common misconception. A quick call to the front desk managers at both WL and FW confirms that mugs are resort specific, NOT "interchangeable."
