Food at Flame Tree Barbeque???

I think it's the best out of all the CS options in AK. They have a fruit plate that looks really good, so I think on our upcoming trip, I'll get that and share a little bit of main course food off of my husband's plate. I don't think their food is awesome, but it's pretty good, and adding bbq sauce from the condiment station really does make it better.

The fruit plate is exactly what I get whenever we eat at AK. It's fresh and huge. And sometimes I'm just tired of all the heavy, theme park food.

Also, I liked the key lime pie better than any CS dessert I've had at WDW.

We LOVE Flame Tree! The chicken is yummy. My DH can make chicken that tastes just like it.
If you do go....I hope you like birds!

Flame Tree is our favorite CS at AK and ranks in the top of all the parks but taking away the corn muffin and giving us cole slaw is wrong! Just another example of the downgrading of the DW food while increasing the prices.

In the summer I always have the fruit platter. Just a wonderful change of pace and you get a lot of quality fruit.

Pictures of their Key Lime Pie looks like traditional Key Lime Pie and DH and myself are addicted to this pie. Also, I have had great CS desserts at POR, Boardwalk Bakery, etc.

DW thinks the key lime pie at Flame Tree BBQ is very good. We also like the other food.

I enjoyed the food at Flame Tree BBQ - better than Pizzafari. I really liked the ribs and corn muffin. The coleslaw was good but the beans were so-so. The fruit & yogurt plate is great!! The chocolate cake is ok but I'd rather get my dessert at a non-CS place (like the stands or goofy's candy company or a TS place). The fruit based desserts are better (in my opinion) at the CS spots.

I like the pulled pork sandwich. It is a lot of food for the price. I also have had good luck with the ribs. The corn muffin is also really good.

Most over-rated CS we've ever had on WDW property.

We love BBQ and can get it from any number of dozens of places here and even the bad ones we never go to are better than what we got from Flame Tree. Soggy buns, dry meat, beans that could double for wallpaper paste, and key lime pie that is poor-to-mediocre at best. I've no desire to go back.

We enjoyed the food here, but I had the worst experience that almost ruined my day. Don't eat here if you do not enjoy the company of birds!!!!! I HATE big birds. Right after I set down my tray a big white bird comes and eats my pulled pork sandwich right off the tray! I was so freaked out. Ugh, never again. I have learned my lesson.

My favorite is the BBQ beef sandwich with lots of BBQ sauce.
My daughter likes the pulled pork
DH likes the ribs.
We have never had a bad meal here and try to schedule at least 1 meal at Flame Tree on our trips.

And when I lived in Tampa, we ate at Sonny's Real Pit BBQ at least once a month. Awesome!!!

Key lime pie tastes of chemicals to me but then again we make it at home with all fresh ingredients.
We eat lunch there almost every trip as it is convenient and fun to share.

I also make it at home but have had just as good if not better ones elsewhere. Our Red Lobster has the best Key Lime Pie that I have ever eaten. It comes from the Cheesecake Factory. Hope FTB's doesn't taste like chemicals!!!
