I will be at BLT in october from the 17 through the 22. I am playing golf 2 days and was wondering what the food is like at BLT. I wont be able toeat as my rounds ill start at around 7 so im sure nothign is open, (corect me if im wrong), and will be getting back around 11. what are my options. I know im a disjunky to heart but this place is new and i havent been back sine the marathon in 09. thanks for the help.

No restaurants directly at BLT.

All are over at the Contemporary Resort, so you have

Chef Mickey's
The Wave
Contempo Cafe
California Grill

Contempo Cafe is counter service and the food is quite good (in my opinion). According to allears.net

Hours:

Grab & Go only (no kitchen preparation): 6:00am – 12 midnight

Breakfast: 7:00am – 11:00am

Lunch: 11:00am – 10:00pm (lunch items are available thru dinner hours)

Dinner: 5:00pm – 10:00pm

BLT has no restaurants other than the snack bar at the pool. It relies on the restaurants at the Comtemporary. There is the lounge at TOTW lounge but it is more bar type finger food and it does not open until 5:00 in the afternoon...smjj

You will have at least a microwave/toaster/mini fridge if you have a studio and a full kitchen in a large room. You can buy simple things (like toaster pastries/hotpockets/ect) in the store at the Contemporary that is on floor 4 under the monorail so you can always pick up what you want the night before and cook it in your room.

Sice you are at BLT, all of your options will come from the Contemporary concourse (unless you fix somethingin your room).

According to AllEars.net and WDWInfo.com, the Contempo Cafe is open at 6am for "Grab and Go" items.

This should allow enough tie to get to the course, especially if your round is at the Magnolia and Palm or you are using your car.

We thought the dinner offerings at the Contempo Cafe (the CS offering) were very tasty (all except the desserts...which were a letdown). We liked that they offered flatbreads and salads opposed to the typical burgers and chicken fingers. :thumbsup2

We also like Contempo Cafe's counter service lunch and dinner. It is pretty small with a limited menu considering that it serves both the CR and BLT - a huge combination. Three touch screens for ordering and two checkouts - and a very limited cooler area with drinks/desserts/etc. Their breakfast choices are not good.

Chef Mickeys, The Wave, and California Grill for TS - of those, you can get the Wave with no ADR, but it's not very good. Your best bet is probably to monorail to another resort or Epcot for better dining options.

If you are playing at Osprey Ridge and get there early you can get breakfast there at the Sand Trap rest., but nothing at the other courses, unless the snack bar is open that early at Palm/Magnolia.

California Grill is dinner only, has a sushi bar and good views of Wishes and a good bar, great place to hang out.
Contempo Cafe is open 6am till midnight
The Wave does breakfast, lunch and dinner
Chef Mickeys does breakfast and dinner
TOTW has a bar open evenings only and a small menu mostly snacks.

My favorite items at the Contempo Cafe is the Chicken Ceasar Salad with the dressing tossed in, Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza and the Spice Crusted Mahi Sandwich. So if you decide to eat there I would highly recommend any of those items.

thanks everyone. It appears the best i could do was a 7:47 and a 7:22 T-time so i am guessing i can get over for the prepared stuff

If you are playing at Osprey Ridge and get there early you can get breakfast there at the Sand Trap rest.

Unfortunatly, the Sandtrap is now a quick service restaurant only open for lunch.
