Great update!
very cool that you got to meet up with Alison and how awesome to get a tour guide :-)

cont. from previous post

After our gentle ride through the mountain, we had a few minutes to spare before the start of the show so we grabbed a treat

Perfect snack while watching the show, which BTW, this show is really cute and has a few less popular characters like Mulan, Pocahontas and King Louie. It was really cool to see them and hear their songs.

Even DH really enjoyed this! It’s about 20 minutes but feels like it’s only 5 because of how entertaining this is.

It was now 1:30pm and everyone thought it would be a good idea to make our way over to Disney’s California Adventure, but I wanted to get a picture in front of the castle before we left. As we were approaching the castle, we got to see another ‘show’. A show not suitable for children. We had seen this young 20 something girl with a much older man, probably in his late 60’s, holding hands. She was very pretty, model-like and tall and this man….well…was old:confused3 They were hanging around a bush or tree that had a guard rail around it. And I’m not sure what she was trying to do, but she leaned over just ever so slightly (while wearing a skirt) to expose her wearing nothing. Nothing. :scared1: I looked at our guide who looked mortified and DH was like are you guys seeing this?! This all happened within seconds, so Alison didn’t see it happen, but wow. I eventually started laughing and our guide started laughing and said that was a first for her. Holy calrissian! How can such a clean place like Disney be so dirty at the same time! :lmao:

I’d like to think DH looks a little happier in this picture

:lmao:::yes::;)

DL looks amazing and I can't wait to go there next summer! Your descriptions of everything and your pics are making it even more exciting!

I know what you mean about babies...my sister has an almost 8-month-old boy, and he reminds me (and the rest of the family actually) of my big one when he was a baby, and now he's 9 years old! But I have to admit...with my little one already being 7, it is so nice to see my nephew all the time but then to send him home with mommy and daddy! It's so nice having another baby in the family, but I'm glad not to have to do the nights again, or pack formula and diapers wherever we go.

As for Star Tours, DS9 got to be the rebel spy twice at WDW a few weeks ago! I don't go on that ride (there's warnings for those with neck and back injuries so I opt not to go), but DH and DS9 and DS7 always go together. They rode a few times on our trip.

Roger Rabbit seems like it would be fun, but is it a dizzying ride? DH and I can't handle the tea cups and we always skip them, because we don't like to spin, as we get too dizzy. Is it a rough ride?

I'm really looking forward to the rides at DL and DCA that are not at the WDW parks, like Alice in Wonderland, Snow White (no longer at MK), Monsters Inc., and Pinocchio. I love those types of rides, where you just move through the story. And of course for the kids, Indiana Jones, California Screamin, the Ferris wheel at DCA. And then the ones at WDW also that we have to do at DL/DCA next year...it's a small world, Soarin', Star tours for the kids and DH, the mountains for the kids and DH, etc. And one ride I loved as a kid at MK that is no longer there and I'm so excited to go on...Mr. toad's wild ride! :)

So that’s about how I remember it….except for a few things. :rolleyes1

I did find you waiting at the Train station Mickey Floral with the guide as we had planned. We went for Star Tours first and I do remember that we were yakking the entire time on the way there. It was like we hadn’t even seen each other for years! :lmao:

Then we went on Space Mountain. I learned from another DISer that it’s fun to make silly faces for the camera, and since I pretty much know where all of them are, I try to do something goofy in the shots now.

So yes the Matterhorn was down and we made our way over the Big Thunder via Big Thunder Ranch. I realized we hadn’t stopped for any pictures, so we took a couple. I’m not sure mine are any different from yours.

Big Thunder is so much cooler after the upgrade and spoiler alert from my TR. I can’t ride WDWs version any more until they upgrade it. DL’s is just that much better!

I’m so glad that I could help you with some of the settings on your camera. The HM pictures came out pretty good and I can’t believe you got the singing busts! That was an awesome shot!

I’m not looking at your DH in disgust as he ate his churro, but I’m not sure what was going through my mind in that picture? :rotfl2:

I’m not sure that I had ever eaten at the French Market before, but my friend who let us use the tour eats there often because he thinks it’s a nice reasonably priced place with some great stick to your ribs food. This is my meatloaf.

Your DH’s Pohboy.

And your red beans with Andouille

I really liked this place and I’m going to rank it up there with Café Orleans. Hopefully I can convince some other folks to eat there one time again, there were a few other things on the menu that looked pretty good too!

You got some good shots in Pirates as well, we all need to continue to hone our photography skills, but you’ve gotten a good start. Just practice in low light and tweak the settings. You can always turn it back to Auto if you need to.

The Matterhorn was really jarring this time, but I do remember the left side being even worse.

I loved our Mickey bar before the show.

This is definitely a fun show and nice few moments to sit down and relax. You’re right they do showcase some ‘not often seen characters’.

[Continued in Next Post]

[Continued from Previous Post]

The Screen/stage itself is quite intriguing as well.

These guys in the bubbles freak me out a little bit, you know asphyxiation?

And then you didn’t point out WHY we were headed to DCA…. :rolleyes1 There was one member of our party who was in search of alcoholic beverages, and beer or wine just wasn’t going to cut it.

But first we had our castle shot, and I missed all the extra curricular entertainment. I think I was parking the scooter.

OK! Ready for the next chapter!

This ride looks so cool!

Alison really enjoys this ride. She’s crazy! We only ride if there is less than a 10 minute wait (which is never!) because of how jerky it is and the seats are so low and uncomfortable. She ‘claims’ the right side is less jerky than the left so we took that side, but oh man. If that is smooth, I’ll never attempt the left side. EVER!

:lmao: :faint:

what a great day! I love the pictures from Pirates and the HM. I've often heard that Pirates is way cooler than the one at WDW.

Was that lunch or dinner? It looks so yummy! Never mind - I figured it out!

Love the picture of you in the puddle!

I have never met Alison but I hear so much about her and I know she meets up with so many DISers. How fun.

Back to read!

Thanks for adding your pics Alison! That show looks amazing. I have heard many good things about it, but I have to agree that the people in the balloons is a little freaky.

OMG to the girl with no underwear and the older sugar daddy. The visuals that THAT brings up is rather disturbing. :rotfl2: Ugh - I can just imagine how I would feel if that was my daughter. :faint:

What a fabulous double update.

It looks like you're having a fantastic day. How cool to be with Alison and have the Plaid service as well. What amazing pixie dust!!!

I love the French Market. Your pictures of the food there have me salivating. It used to be a place that DH and I went to all the time because we were always guaranteed of a decent meal. But we haven't been back in a while.

You got great pictures inside HM. :thumbsup2

I really want to ride that Roger Rabbit ride one day! Seems fun!

When I went to DL as a teenager, I’m pretty sure that I went on Gadget’s Go Coaster a whole bunch of times in a row at night without a line. Fun, fun!

Wow, a guide? Does that mean you were able to walk right on to rides without waiting in line? :confused3 And what a fun job that guide has – going on rides for work, nice! :thumbsup2

You are the second person I’ve seen raving about the new effects in Big Thunder. I wanna ride that too! :hyper:

Ah, so that explains the Andouille sausage post on FB! You must have found some. :goodvibes

Looks like a neat show. And much more savory than the show you saw after. :lmao:

Can’t make this out. Maybe you can

Nope. Not driving under the influence, are we?:confused3

The big plan for today (which BTW, was not leaving our car up for grabs! :faint:) was to meet up with our friend Alison. She has a friend who is a Club 33 member and with his membership includes some guided tours that need to be used by a certain time. He offered up a tour to Alison and when she found out we would be coming, asked if we would be interested. Which my reply was of course YES!

:woohoo: Alison seems to be really good at making magic happen!:thumbsup2

And no that is not a pee puddle under me. Hmm, maybe I was really excited after all!:lmao:

:scared1:

:rotfl2:I love how Alison looks in this picture!

:rotfl2::rotfl: (spoiler) You may see something similar to this later...

I haven’t been on this since they upgraded the ride and OMGOSH it’s amazing! The special effects are absolutely incredible! One scene, I think where it used to be the rocks coming down like you are about to be caved in, got changed to exploding dynamite and it totally took me by surprise and made me jump! Very cool.

Agreed! It's pretty awesome!

The one thing I love about eating with DIS’ers is that we don’t have to explain why we’re taking pictures. There’s a mutual agreement about allowing others to take pictures of their food and I love it!

::yes::

I ordered the Red Beans and Rice with Andouille Sausage

Good for you. Beans are the most musical of fruits.

EVER!

I'm going to side with Alison here. It's fun!

As we were approaching the castle, we got to see another ‘show’. A show not suitable for children.

 :scared1: Um. Wow. Yeah, I got nothing.

You are making me wish I was going to DL soon!!! I LOVED Roger Rabbits ride, that queue is too cool.

Your naked show was not cool :sad2: :rotfl:

I missed Gadgets coaster, the line was enormous as you said. I think simply being in DL entitles you to go on any rides no matter if you have kids with you or not.

The Magical Map was a great show, so many things DL has that WDW doesn't :sad1: I definitely think another trip is in order.

Your "pee puddle" cracked me up. The NC-17 show at DL grossed me out. EWWWWWW!!!!!!!

And then you didn’t point out WHY we were headed to DCA…. :rolleyes1 There was one member of our party who was in search of alcoholic beverages, and beer or wine just wasn’t going to cut it

That is pretty much our reason as well!!! :rotfl2: I love how convenient it is to park-hop there :drinking::drinking: :)

Hi we are enjoying reading your trip report all 72 pages so far . we will be on a family trip to WDW with our family and grand daughter who will be 11 months at the time we are wondering where did you buy the able place mats your son was using ...

DH didn’t want to because we ‘had no kid with us’ and that would be ‘embarrassing’. Uh, dude you wanted to get on Peter Pan and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride earlier :confused3…sooo…we’re getting on.
It's Disneyland. Suck it up and act like a kid. :thumbsup2

He offered up a tour to Alison and when she found out we would be coming, asked if we would be interested. Which my reply was of course YES!
So what was this tour, exactly? Was it just a front of the line type thing? The way you talk about it in the update it seems like the guide just takes you around to whatever it is that you want to do.

And no that is not a pee puddle under me. Hmm, maybe I was really excited after all!:lmao:
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Since we were right around the corner from SM, that was a no brainer
Seriously... a tour guide, in Disneyland, and she gets to ride the rides with her guests. Best. Job. Ever.

Very cool.
Sounds awesome! Love BTMRR... at Disney World anyway. Can't wait to check this version out!

After the HM, DH was ‘dying’ for a churro. He needs one on every trip. Happened to catch him mid-bite as Alison was looking on in disgust! :rotfl: don’t think she’s a fan of churros!
It's always time for churros. :thumbsup2

Next stop was PotC but they had shut down too. Second ride that was having issues today.
Shouldn't your tour guide know this stuff before you get there??? :rolleyes1

EVER!
This isn't what I wanted to hear! I've heard about Matterhorn forever and have yet to ever ride it. I'm looking forward to trying it out. :rotfl2:

I think that by assembling all the evidence we have, we can safely assume that someone was being paid to be there. :rolleyes1

I looked at our guide who looked mortified and DH was like are you guys seeing this?! This all happened within seconds, so Alison didn’t see it happen, but wow. I eventually started laughing and our guide started laughing and said that was a first for her.
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

So did the guide make a call to security to get that taken care of before more little kids get flashed when she bends over again??? :confused3

Holy calrissian!
Love that. :thumbsup2

Looks like a fun day at DL with Alison! Minus the dirty side show. :scared1:

I think of the Gadget Go Coaster as similar to Goofy's Barnstormer ride at WDW. Both are so short. I love your logic to get Dan to ride... like Mr. Toad isn't a kid ride? I do like to visit "hell" on cold days for that ride. :lmao:

The BTMRR post rehab is incredible - not to mention so much smoother. The dynamite scene is so well done. :thumbsup2

I love the French Market. The beef stew is pretty tasty but the corn muffins are awesome! The red beans and rice Andouille looks really good. How did yours turn out?

Looking forward to the DCA part of your day.

You did such a great job getting up and out so early! The car incident is just too funny. I’m sure it was NOT funny at all at the time. But now you have a great story :rotfl2: And you’re right, anywhere else besides Disney and your car would have already been stolen, towed, or sold for parts. I guess that’s why they tell you to leave the keys in the ignition. It probably happens all the time with all the excitement of finally being in Disney, and I’m sure some people probably don’t realize it until the next day when they’re looking for their car. You guys were on top of your game! ;)

The DL castle looks so different from WDW’s but it’s so so so special in it’s own way. I think of it as Walt’s castle :goodvibes
I love how Toon Town looks like it’s straight out of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I never saw the queue for Roger Rabbit because we used a FP. What did I miss out on?

Love the SM ride photo! So was this a private tour? That is so cool that you guys had this Club 33 Member connection.

You are so right about the food picture thing! :lmao: And I totally agree about the Matterhorn. What a mistake we made waiting 45 minutes for it first thing when the park opened. We probably could have done so much more during that time if we had just gotten off the line once we realized it wasn’t moving at all :sad2:

Your pictures from Mickey and the Magical Map look awesome. I wish I had seen it. Oh well, I better plan another trip to DL!

That is seriously crazy about the girl in the skirt. What are people thinking!? Worst of all - why would you do anything that could potentially get you kicked out of DL!?!? Oh right...and scar young, innocent children for life....

So that’s about how I remember it….except for a few things. :rolleyes1

Alison, that was so fun how you added in your own version of the day's events! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing!

Great update!
very cool that you got to meet up with Alison and how awesome to get a tour guide :-)

We had so much fun that day!

We're definitely going to have to make plans to meet up at some point next Summer! You guys will absolutely love DLR. It's so much different than WDW but probably one of the best difference, is that you won't have to add in transportation times getting from park to park. If you decide to pop on over to DCA at any point, it's just a quick walk across the esplanade! :dance3:

Mr Toad's is the best! We might be going back to DLR in October for DS's 2nd birthday and this is one attraction we were thinking about if he would like it or not.

I did find you waiting at the Train station Mickey Floral with the guide as we had planned. We went for Star Tours first and I do remember that we were yakking the entire time on the way there. It was like we hadn’t even seen each other for years! :lmao:

We were like that the ENTIRE day! It would have been difficult for anyone to pull us apart :lmao:

Big Thunder is so much cooler after the upgrade and spoiler alert from my TR. I can’t ride WDWs version any more until they upgrade it. DL’s is just that much better!

Woah, are they already working on upgrading WDW's?!

I’m so glad that I could help you with some of the settings on your camera. The HM pictures came out pretty good and I can’t believe you got the singing busts! That was an awesome shot!

I still need to work on the settings especially on dark rides. I need to go back and re-read PIO's explanations.

I’m not looking at your DH in disgust as he ate his churro, but I’m not sure what was going through my mind in that picture? :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: It's the perfect moment!

I really liked this place and I’m going to rank it up there with Café Orleans. Hopefully I can convince some other folks to eat there one time again, there were a few other things on the menu that looked pretty good too!

I really enjoyed this place! I tried to replicate my dish last week, and it didn't turn out anything like this. It was good, but not at all similar to what I had here!

You got some good shots in Pirates as well, we all need to continue to hone our photography skills, but you’ve gotten a good start. Just practice in low light and tweak the settings. You can always turn it back to Auto if you need to.

This is the problem. Finding situations to use my camera in dark settings back at home. But I need to figure it out before January!

And then you didn’t point out WHY we were headed to DCA…. :rolleyes1 There was one member of our party who was in search of alcoholic beverages, and beer or wine just wasn’t going to cut it.

I don't know how I didn't remember DH whining for some alcohol!:lmao:

This ride looks so cool!

what a great day! I love the pictures from Pirates and the HM. I've often heard that Pirates is way cooler than the one at WDW.

OMG to the girl with no underwear and the older sugar daddy. The visuals that THAT brings up is rather disturbing. Ugh - I can just imagine how I would feel if that was my daughter.

Matterhorn is such a fun ride but can be very jerky! They had changed up the seats a while back and I think added more padding to the leg area so you wouldn't bruise as easily, but it's fun!

You are definitely going to have to meet Alison one day! She's so much fun to be around and talk to.

The sugar daddy situation was definitely uncomfortable and then just laughable! But definitely an :crazy2: moment!

Thanks PIO! I told Alison I need to go back through your camera setting tutorials to read up before my January trip. I'm determined to get some good dark ride pictures of DS!

I really want to ride that Roger Rabbit ride one day! Seems fun!

When I went to DL as a teenager, I’m pretty sure that I went on Gadget’s Go Coaster a whole bunch of times in a row at night without a line. Fun, fun!

Ah, so that explains the Andouille sausage post on FB! You must have found some.

Looks like a neat show. And much more savory than the show you saw after.

Roger Rabbit is the coolest ride! One that we often forget is back there since we don't go to Toontown so often. But obviously that's changing as DS is getting older.

The guide is more like a FP. We still wait but she was full of little tidbits and info that DH got to hear...me and Alison were too much involved in talking to each other than to listen to her! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: about the FB post! I couldn't find it anywhere! And then I called one store in the next town over from me and asked the meat department and I don't think he understood me right (although I repeated it a few times) and said he would ask "Grocery". Right, like dry/canned goods are going to have fresh meat:rolleyes: I ended up just making the drive there, and sure enough it was there!

:woohoo: Alison seems to be really good at making magic happen!

She totally is, she's amazing :cool1:

(spoiler) You may see something similar to this later...

:woohoo: Looking forward to that!

Good for you. Beans are the most musical of fruits.

:lmao: I wish that were the case for me! I have major IBS issues and not even beans help me. TMI?! :rolleyes1

I'm going to side with Alison here. It's fun!

Sheesh, I don't know what it is with me then. Maybe I just like the other mountains more!:snooty:

:scared1: Um. Wow. Yeah, I got nothing.

Crazy right?!

You are making me wish I was going to DL soon!!! I LOVED Roger Rabbits ride, that queue is too cool.

Your naked show was not cool

I missed Gadgets coaster, the line was enormous as you said. I think simply being in DL entitles you to go on any rides no matter if you have kids with you or not.

The Magical Map was a great show, so many things DL has that WDW doesn't :sad1: I definitely think another trip is in order.

It is quite possibly one of the greatest queues of all queues! Maybe next to Indy.

:lmao: Totally not cool at all!

I think you're right! Come out again and next time i'll try and go to the park with you:)

Your "pee puddle" cracked me up. The NC-17 show at DL grossed me out. EWWWWWW!!!!!!!

That is pretty much our reason as well!!! I love how convenient it is to park-hop there :drinking::drinking: :)

Yep, not even rated R! No class.

It's wonderful to be able to hop over and grab a drink whenever you feel like it!

Hi we are enjoying reading your trip report all 72 pages so far . we will be on a family trip to WDW with our family and grand daughter who will be 11 months at the time we are wondering where did you buy the able place mats your son was using ...

Hi! I believe I got this from Amazon, but i've seen them at both Target and Walmart in the stores. They are great! They stick to the table really good and provide a little entertainment for DS too. The only thing I was having issues in the beginning was DS was having a hard time trying to find the food, because of all the activity that was going on in the placemat, the small bits of food would just blend in, making it difficult to see. But I highly recommend them!

It's Disneyland. Suck it up and act like a kid. :thumbsup2

::yes::

So what was this tour, exactly? Was it just a front of the line type thing? The way you talk about it in the update it seems like the guide just takes you around to whatever it is that you want to do.

The guide is pretty much a human FP. We don't get front of the line and go through the FP line just like anyone else would. The thing I loved most about our guide was that, I didn't have to plan anything and I was able to actually relax and talk to Alison without having to think about which ride we should get on next, which FP to grab, etc. She also provided extra information about some of the rides and attractions. Lots of fun!

Seriously... a tour guide, in Disneyland, and she gets to ride the rides with her guests. Best. Job. Ever.

It's got to be the best job! You wake up in the morning thinking, I'm going to go on this and this AND get paid for it! :cool1:

Sounds awesome! Love BTMRR... at Disney World anyway. Can't wait to check this version out!

You will seriously LOVE this version! It's absolutely incredible what they did with it. I usually hate when they upgrade old rides (love the nostalgia!) but this was fine in my book!

Shouldn't your tour guide know this stuff before you get there???

Pfft, I know right! She should have been calling ahead before we even took one step outside the doors of the HM before making our way!....actually, that would be a great idea, especially for Indy. You'll find out next year, that that ride is super inconsistent. Closed at all times of the day! But when you do ride, it is really cool.

This isn't what I wanted to hear! I've heard about Matterhorn forever and have yet to ever ride it. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I think i'm more:snooty: and love the smoothness of the other mountains. It really is a fun ride, just very rickety and jerky to me. You'll just have to let me know what you think when you ride :thumbsup2

I think that by assembling all the evidence we have, we can safely assume that someone was being paid to be there.

:rotfl2::rotfl: She was his personal guide!

So did the guide make a call to security to get that taken care of before more little kids get flashed when she bends over again??? :confused3

No, but i'm wondering if she could have. Totally inappropriate. Wondering how security would have approached that issue:scratchin

Love that. :thumbsup2

:)

Looks like a fun day at DL with Alison! Minus the dirty side show. :scared1:

I love the French Market. The beef stew is pretty tasty but the corn muffins are awesome! The red beans and rice Andouille looks really good. How did yours turn out?

Looking forward to the DCA part of your day.

Yep, I think they are the same too. DH got to ride the Barnstormer with DM last time but next time it's my turn!

:rotfl2: OH MY GOSH! I'm soooo glad that i'm not the only one who enjoys Mr. Toad on a cold day! :lmao:

Mine didn't turn out near as good as DLR's. I think because mine was more 'authentic' as DLR's was more to please everyone.

You did such a great job getting up and out so early! The car incident is just too funny. I’m sure it was NOT funny at all at the time. But now you have a great story :rotfl2: And you’re right, anywhere else besides Disney and your car would have already been stolen, towed, or sold for parts.

We probably could have done so much more during that time if we had just gotten off the line once we realized it wasn’t moving at all

Alison, that was so fun how you added in your own version of the day's events! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing!

:lmao: Thanks for making me feel better about the car! It was really nerve wracking trying to figure out what to do and trying to contain ourselves from not jumping out of our boat!

You HAVE to go back and not get a FP next time for Roger Rabbit! The queue is incredible! It is probably just as good as the ride itself. You go through the Toontown streets and Ink and Paint and the factory where the DIP is made. It's just so immersive and also VERY long. Maybe as long as Indy's queue?

Yep it was a private tour and the tour guide is like a FP, getting us into the FP line without needing an actual paper FP. It's really fun in that, we don't have to plan and figure out which ride we should get on next and which FP to grab and 'Oh, we can't get another FP until XX:XX", etc. It was nice to just be able to go and converse with an old friend.

Mickey and the Magical Map was such a fun show! Something you need to check out the next time you come out...next year after the baby right?;)

Annnnd scarring DH's eyes!:lmao: Pfft, like I hear him complaining about it:rolleyes: In all seriousness though, completely inappropriate for any eyes to see.

I had left out something on my last update. Another reason we had bailed on Disneyland so early because a certain someone was hankering for an alcoholic beverage :rolleyes1

But thought we should get on some rides before grabbing drinks over at the Cove Bar so our first ride was Toy Story Midway Mania

The ride had stopped at one point so I took the opportunity to snap a pic

So far, I’m doing pretty good

And in the end the final score….

Me

DH

He. Was. TICKED. And I was :dance3::yay:

And it’s always the same excuse every single time. “I don’t understand! I’m pulling the string back all the way and nothing shoots out of the gun!” And every time I tell him that he needs to make sure he pulls it all the way back  I think next time we go on this ride, I’m going to ‘make sure’ that his gun is working so he can admit defeat once and for all without an excuse.

I even took a picture of him explaining his malfunctioned gun so you guys don't think i'm making this up

Since we were right next to California Screamin’ we jumped on that.

No redneck picture :sad2:

And then went over to DH’s favorite place in all of DCA. The Cove Bar! If you haven’t been, you must. The Cove Bar is so relaxing to sit down and have a drink and the view isn’t too bad either

DH had ordered something similar to this a long time ago and was hooked. They changed the recipe recently but it’s still delicious. I ordered one also

You can see Alison’s drink of choice in the background..I'm going to attempt to butcher her drink..a Belvedere Gibson Up?! How'd I do?!:lmao:

No one was extremely hungry for apps so we stuck to our drinks and conversation. But I highly recommend getting the Lobster Nachos here. They are heavenly.

During our happy hour, we had seen a little water show going on and Goofy was conducting! He’s hard to see so I’ll circle him

It was cute and unexpected!

At one point during our break, I had looked at my phone and saw that I had received this text and picture from my DB, who is also a huge Disney fan but hasn’t been able to go to DLR for the past 2 years

And being the mature adults that we are, we pointed and laughed

Refreshed from our drinks, off we went to check out Radiator Springs Racers

Great update! The Cove Bar looks amazing. I'll have to check that out for sure next summer!!

I laughed so hard at the pic of your DH "explaining" to you why he got a lower score than you on TSMM! That would totally be my DH if that happened...but he always beats me. I ride with one of our sons, and he rides with the other but we always compare scores afterwards. He always beats my score. But it never bothers me...but I'm sure if it was reversed it would get to him a little bit, lol.

We definitely have to meet up. I booked a suite at the Desert Palms Hotel & Suites July 26-August 1, 2015. It's very close to the parks so we will walk there, and it has free hot breakfasts, parking and wifi. The best time to meet up for us would probably be closer to the end of our trip, once the rest of the family heads to San Francisco. They're checking out July 30th. Maybe we could do lunch or dinner in DTD.
