For anyone going, I thought I'd start a thread on what we had and what we liked. Anyone else feel free to add your experiences as well. We didn't have as much as we wanted but here's what we did have.

Belgium Waffle (Mom's top pick) delish

Food:

Argentina-Beef Empanada- filling tasty, pastry a little dry. Overall decent.
Argentina-Grilled beef skewer...could have used more chimichurri sauce. Flavor- meh.
Mexico-Crispy shrimp taco-delish! Vibrant flavored with nice textures.
Mexico-Taco de filete- spicy! Good flavor, some of the meat was tough, what wasn't was very good. Make sure to use the lime!
China-Mongolian beef in a steamed bun- more like a taco. The steamed bun was an interesting texture. Good flavors. I liked it.
China-Chicken satay... Good, nothing wow about it.
South Korea- Lettuce wrap with roast pork and kimchi slaw- pork and kimchi good flavor. Lettuce part weak... I have to pull out our receipts but remembering it wasn't worth what they were charging.
Cheese- Cheese fondue with sourdough bread. Wanted to like this... But didn't. Strong flavor in the cheese fondue. Beer? Not sure. Bread was stale and flavorless.
Cheese-Artisan cheese selection. Good cheeses nice flavor. Could tell it was sitting out in the heat for a bit though
Germany-Roast bratwurst in pretzel roll- meh. Good with beer in the beer garden.
Italy-Cannoli al cioccolato-good... Expensive for what you get.
Florida Local-White corn arepa with pork and sweet corn salad- yum! Delicious and different.
Japan-Spicy hand roll-DH liked!
Japan-Karaage hand roll- I'm not a sushi person
Tried it and loved it, had it twice.
Japan-Sukiyaki beef pan- meat was delicious. Portion was small and I thought they could have found something a little more creative to use other than a tiny hot dog bun.
Morocco-Baklava-I thought it was a little dry but flavors were good. I'm a sucker for baklava.
Canada-Canadian cheddar cheese soup- yum yum! Delish!
Canada-LeCellier wild mushroom beef filet-
Delish...great flavor, soo tender! Very nicely done!
Greece-Griddled Greek cheese w/pistachios and honey. Prob. My least liked F&W item. The cheese was tasteless and plastic like/rubbery. May sound harsh but...
Hawaii-Kalua pork slider... Bread a tad dry but the flavors of the pork etc very nice. Overall very good.
Desserts and Champagne- all very good but didn't taste any chili or salted caramel in the chocolate mousse. A good value for all 3 desserts.

I may sound picky about everything but giving my honest opinion. Had so much fun and realize the food is being made for the masses and is out in the heat so for what it's worth I thin the kiosks do a great job. We had two FULL days to sample and also hung out at La Cava de Tequila and Tutto Gusto which both were fantastic!
I'll do drinks in a separate post.

No, not glass. They are a hard plastic. Still fairly heavy as far as plastic goes though. The only thing I didn't like about them is they didn't seem to have the year on them. Maybe they never do. I don't know. I've never gotten the mug before this year.

They really have to be plastic, or there would be a huge liability issue if people dropped them and broken glass shattered everywhere.

I posted on a thread that we have some glass ones, but maybe we bought those? I really can't remember but I know we have both plastic ones and glass ones. But I agree what you said makes sense.

I've been twice already and really loved some items and really disliked others.
Here's my two cents

Terra ~ Chili Colorado.....Loved this!! It's vegetarian but you really can't tell, plus it has this delicious cashew cream and homemade potato chips that are excellent. Highly recommend this even if you don't usually like vegetarian dishes.

Hawaii ~ Tuna Poke....excellent! I love raw tuna and it was marianted in a soy sauce concoction and had seaweed salad on the bottom which was excellent.
~Kahlua Pork Slider....my husband let me taste this and it was very good. Great flavored meat.

Desserts and Champagne booth (only had the desserts)
~Dessert Trio....I loved all three, they were a great value and all tasted amazing. The one with chili only had a very light almost non existent chili flavor in the caramel which is on the bottom but I preferred it this way
~Chocolate Foam.....amazing!!! Highly recommend. Like eating a cold chocolate cloud. I want another right now!!

Greece ~ Griddled Cheese....meh, not very good. No flavor, needed more griddling, only good thing were the pistachios. Wouldn't get again.

Ireland ~ Cheese Selection...amazing, loved the blue cheese one the best, save that for last if you try this dish.
~ Lava Cake w/ Bailey's Ganash.....OMG good!!! very small portion, you should buy two!! Plus don't leave any of the ganash left on the plate, eat that up! lol

France, one of our favorite stops ~ Escargot....even if you don't think you will like it, try it...blow your mind good. My favorite part is the little buttered garlic bread tops.
~ Coq Au Vin....amazing!!!!! We shared this dish, and it's a pretty big portion but I wanted more. Highly recommend.


Belgium ~ Mussels....disgusting, really. I love mussels but I put one in my mouth and promptly took it out and threw it in the bushes. Really gross, have no idea why this passed the taste testers panel.
~ Truffles...very tasty, come in their own box, very sweet but decadent and worth the prize (which is surprisingly low)

Morocco ~ Baklava...yummy!!! Get this, very flaky layers, rich but good. Good one to share!

Japan ~ Spicy Hand Roll....So amazing!! If you love sushi get this one. It's really delicious. I wanted another, but controlled myself, lol.
~ Karaage Roll....not impressed with this. Just plain piece of Chicken in the middle, not as good as the spicy roll, won't be getting this again. My husband like it though, but he is not a sushi love like me~
~ Strawberry Sake...tasted a friends and was amazed. It's a frozen drink and the strawberry flavor is delicious. Sweet and yummy. Would order this next time with the spicy roll.

Florida ~ Shrimp Ceviche...good but I didn't love it. Everybody else with me did though so maybe I got an off cup.

Cheese Stand ~ Cheese Fondue....excellent...the bread is a little dry but it fits well with the melted cheese, softens right up. So good that I used my finger to get out the remaining remnants of cheese
~ Trio of cheese....very nice little platter of cheeses and accompaniments. I love all three and everything that went with them. Would get both of the cheese dishes from here again.

I haven't made it to the other booths yet but I have heard nothing but great things about the Frozen Cherry Limeade from the Caribbean booth. I want it and the light up Epcot 30th cup it can come in for a higher fee of course, but I want it, lol.....next time!!!

So glad I live here and can go when I want. So much more to try!!!

One thing to add that I hadn't seen noted anywhere--you can ask for any ingredients to be left off if there's something you don't want or can't have. Just tell them at the pickup window. My DD had her slider without the chutney or mayo. They were happy to accommodate.

My personal thoughts on the bites:

Florida--I really liked the ceviche. More spice and less lime than I usually find--different but good.

Hawaii--my portion of poke was just tuna sashimi. I couldn't taste the marinade at all--still delicious, though. My uber-picky 11yoDD snarfed down the slider, so it must have been REALLY good

Greece--we LOVED the cheese. Ask for one straight off the griddle or yes, it becomes a solid piece of Goodyear. (Just tell them at the window that you're happy to wait for it.) My 8yoDS went back thru the line himself to get his own!

Ireland--I was completely underwhelmed by the fishermans pie. I had two tiny bits of lobster and a couple of pieces of celery. Six bucks for mashed potatoes and broth--c'mon.

Canada--again, DD inhaled the soup--I didn't even get to taste it! And she ate a whole filet (sans mushrooms), so it's clearly superb. We all enjoyed that, and I especially enjoyed being the one to clean up all the unwanted mushrooms mmm.

Belgium--was disappointed that the truffles were just packaged product--sheesh. I enjoyed my mussels, though--OP, were yours fresh? I could hardly carry mine they were so hot. Like you said, maybe you got a bad one? That waffle was good, but I smelled chocolate and kept expecting to taste it (not sure why?) so I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought, but it was perfectly well-prepared....but can you imagine if it had some chocolate sauce on there too???? Mmmmm.

Wish I'd had more time to sample, but a lovely rain shower and 30th anniversary crowd hindered my noshing. Guess I'll have to come back next year

Just love all of these reviews, thanks everyone I have to note all the good ones. We will be there in less the 2 weeks so keep the reviews coming. I keep thinking of the Beer Flights. We only have 1 TS this year so we can spend more time at the F & W, probably be there every night, never get sick of Illuminations, but probably spend 1 night to see Fantasmic and 1 night to see Electric Light Parade.

Ok yesterday was my first go at the booths this year - will be returning often I am sure.

First of all didn't try many because I had a most delish culinary demo at the Festival Center before making my way to the booths - scallop with gouda/parmesean butter over julienne veggies paired with Sauvignon Blanc (Concha Y Toro Casillero Del Diablo) - excellent - light, crisp, clean, citrus - and before that a sample of the Cabernet Savignon Concha Y Toro Marques de Casa Concha - EXCELLENT- really bold and smooth! Chile produces some great wines!

Yum!

Hawaii - pork slider - loved the flavor of the pork here - thought the bread was a little dry but typical of Hawaiian sweet bread (lived there a few years). Didn't try the Kona Brewing Company beers but lived in Kona and LOVED this microbrewery - would try anything they made - often ate there. Note on the pork slider - cheap at $3.

Australia - lamb chop - fairly strong lamb flavor here which I liked - good lamb chop, great mint pesto, very fatty bit on the end (which of course gave it great flavor), substantial piece of meat for a taste I thought but if you don't like "lamby" don't go for it.

Greece - salad - I got this primarily as a contrast to the fatty lamb I had just eaten - I needed some fresh to my palate and this did the job though I wouldn't get it if I didn't need the palate contrast. I have lived in the middle east and have eaten much better salads - with much fresher cucumbers, better tomatoes etc. I will say the olives were authentic as I know we can sometimes get less than tasty ones here - kalamata I think. So if you need a salad this will do that but wouldn't recommend it on its' own. Cheap at $3.

France - chocolate milk creme brulee - I love this dessert and have gotten it in years past for some reason it didn't quite measure up to what I was remembering this year - but all in all very nice - I enjoyed it and would get it again.

We had the potstickers and Mongolian beef on steamed buns in China and the "grapefruit" beer in Germany (Schossenfeffer or something like that? LOL) But it was GOOD! My daughter had the kimchi, I think it was Korea? And that was it. I did have a Grand Marnier slushie in France, but they offer that every day. Wish I didn't eat a big breakfast, i would have had more!

The souvenir mugs sold in WS are designed for guests to fill and walk around with, so they are plastic. Guests are not permitted to walk around with glass containers, for obvious reasons. You may be able to buy actual glass at the Festival Center but you will not be able to drink from it while walking around the park.

My fisherman's pie had a huge chunk of lobster in it, which didn't impress me because I am not a fan of lobster and was hoping for small pieces. The potato part was better in prior years, won't get one again.

The Sam Adams beer flight is a good deal. And at the German beer garden, I really liked the grapefruit beer.

Mexico - Crispy Shrimp Taco - Really liked this, will try to get another soon!
Cheese- Artisan Cheese Selection - Good, but goat cheese was weak IMHO not much bite and just not a good cheese. Still a good choice overall
Poland - Kielbasa - Loved this as always!
Italy- Ravioli - Hmm.. just ok not highly recommended
Florida - Ceviche - Ceviche was good, that fried plantain was gross. Too fat and not really a good consistency!
New Zealand - Seared Sea Scallop - They do mean scallop and i really disliked the puree, not worth it IMHO
France - Coq au Vin - Pretty good, not outstanding but good
Ireland - Fisherman's Pie - Very good buy spicier then I recalled from last year
Ireland - Chocolate Lava Cake - Need I say more. VERY GOOD!
Canada - Canadian Cheese Soup - Great
Canada - Chicken Sausage - A little spicy for me but good
Canada - Filet Mignon - Great, better then what I got at the restaurant (which is kind of sad IMHO)
Morocco - Sausage - My first total fail. Threw most of it away YUCK!
Deserts & Champagne - Dark Chocolate Mousse - OMG good and it's very rich so the small size is great!
Belgium - Mussels - Just OK. i liked last years version much better. The sauce this year was kind of tasteless IMHO. Mussels were fine but not a huge hit.

I saw a souvenir glass beer mug at the Festival Center yesterday - matched the t shirt - "brews around the world" or something like that but yeah it would be for purchase and not for taking around the world as pp mentioned. They also have a souvenir mug that is plastic and lights up - .

We just got back from 10 amazing days! Here's what we loved:

Argentina: Chimichurri Beef Skewer with boniato puree
Australia: Grilled Lamb Chop with mint pesto and potato crunchies (chips lol)
China: Pork Pot Stickers
South Korea: Lettuce wrap with roast pork and kimchi slaw
CHEESE: Cheese plate cheddar, goat brie, blue cheese
Germany: Brat in pretzel roll
Ireland: Fisherman's Stew, Cheese plate
Hawaii: Pork Slider with pineapple chutney and spicy mayo (we had like 6 of these hahahaha)


Did not love:

Ropa Vieja: Meat was good, rice was hard and crusty
Beef Taco at Mexico, too spicy and beef was dry, tortilla was stale on the ends
Greece: Salad was soaked and soggy, pita was dry, chicken souvlaki was tiny! Tzatzikiwas pretty good
New Zealand Scallop was rubbery and tasted yucky
Belgium mussles were good but broth was literally WINE, not cooked off at all. bread was soggy
Poland: two tiny slivers of kielbasa and a dry stale piergoi. Mrs. T's is better!
Japan: Teryaki slider was just ok. It wasn't bad it wasn't good.
Argentina: I am Argentinian and the Empanada here was a disgrace! It was a beef puree almost with weird spices! Awful!
