Thursday Nov 2 Cost $145 per person, Theme park admission not required
6:30 to 9 pm

I am so sad. I really wanted to do this, but I won't be there until Nov. 7! I'm not really all that interested in the events that are held Nov. 7-11 when I will be there, actually. I can't download PDF's on this computer but later on I will have to check the whole list out.

Thanks for sharing the info!

I have NO IDEA why I did not have my flyer sent to me, as in years past. When did yours arrive? I am in a panic because the 31st is rapidly approaching. I called DD and they were pretty useless as to how to get my hands on the info you readily provided. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We were too late on several desired seatings last year because we waited. Some we went to were well worth if (Party for the Senses, etc.) and some were not so worth it.

Can anyone give me a review of Brilliant Bubbles? I scrolled down rapidly to see if the Spirited Ball was back. I didn't see it. Did anyone go last year?

Thanks!

Mine arrived in my e-mail box today at 3:06PM.

Can anyone tell me if the Sweet Sundays usually sell out (or is that a stupid question and all the events sell out)? We'll be returning for a DCL cruise that day and if we get back to Disney in time (we'll be using a van with other family members, so I can't guarantee we'll RUSH off the ship), I'd LOVE to do this event at noon on the last Sunday of the festival, but I don't know if we'll be back in time. I can call from the can if it looks like we'll make it, but I'm not shelling out $120 for a chance to go.

Thank you, vascubaguy, for sharing that info. I let my DDE membership lapse since the expiration was several months prior to when I'd be going back; now I wish I hadn't!

Where does the party of the senses take place? Can the fireworks be viewed from this location? Do AP holders, DVC members or DDE card holders get any type of discount off of the ticket price? Thanks!

Party for the Senses is in that big, dome-shaped building with big double doors in front of it, just after you pass from England and before you get the Off Kilter stage on your left (facing Canada). It's a huge hall.

Yes, you can view Illuminations from this venue, but you have to come out of the World Showplace to view them. Discounts? Yeah, right. We are DVC, FL residents and Premium Annual Passholders. No discounts here! The good news is the more you drink and eat, it becomes somewhat of a bargain! :rotfl:

Hope this helps.

PS to my last post: PFTS is well worth the money. It's just a lot of fun! You do get a free wine glass, does this sway you? It's real glass...and even has a hole at the top from which you may drink, and a nice base in which to place on the table! So, that's a deal.

I agree with Stuck in Wonderland. My DH and I attended last year for the 1st time. We found many people were rude about saving spaces at tables where there were only 2 or 3 people seated. I understand there are people who need for physical reasons to sit the entire time or frequently. The tables we did sit at had very friendy people. You miss out on meeting people from all over and enjoying the information they share.

I understand them wanting to get a seat, but when you have two people at a table with four chairs and they snap at anyone who tries to sit there (assuming they don't have a person who they know is on their way back), that isn't the way it's supposed to work at PFTS.

This may be the same mentality that keeps people away from Teppanyaki and Biergarten where multiple parties are seated at one table. I have read a lot of strenuous objections to having strangers at the table, to the point of refusing to patronize the restaurants that have multi-party seating. Some folks have a more extensive personal comfort zone than others.

If I get the Brewers Dinner I will be doing it alone. Be nice to me when I sit at your table...I may be the only single there and I'm not Charles Manson, really I'm not.

Just read back...Hi Brocktoon. Two singles, maybe. I hope you are not Charles Manson either.

Quick question, when I call to make the reservations for events do I have to pay for them right then? I'm asking because there are going to be eight of us and I'm not paying for all of us, but for all of us to try and call in and get a reservation might be tricky.

I'm don't think I'm too bad to sit with ... I'm even potty trained! :thumbsup2

Still deciding on what I'm going to do about the Brewers dinner, but I figure there's going to be a good amount of solo guests. At a price of ~$150, I don't know how many families or groups can talk the others into attending unless they're really interested in beer.

I'm confused how people can go to events during the F&W fest, and have a problem sitting with other people. That's half the fun ... enjoying a common interest with like-minded individuals, strangers or not. How can someone have an aversion to strangers, yet still attend crowded events where 99+% of the people ARE strangers ??

TDCNala: Anyone who is the next Samantha Sterling can sit with us at the Sam Adams beer tasting! Thank God someone will bring the condiments! I want to try the beer tasting this year. I know Jim Koch personally. He doesn't know me...I call these details.

I wish they would either put it on the brochure they give us or make an announcement before we go in.

It's been getting worst each year to the point where people claim the tall tables as their own and won't share.

Thanks for the list. Too bad the PFTS and Food and Wine parings went up. On the other hand the Regional Feasts and Signature Dinners are less than I expected. I was guessing $185pp and they are $145pp. I have 6 things I want to do but I don't really want to spend $1,340. LOL. We will probably do 1 PFTS, 1 Food and Wine Paring, 1 Regional Feast and will have to decide on either an Exquisite Evening or a Signature Dinner.

I am interested in Brilliant Bubbles as well-anyone been?

Well, Patricia, I see neither you nor I have far to travel when we attend these events! I, too, have to "narrow" it down, or I will not be able to pay my real estate taxes in Celebration! In any event, we are going for PFTS, Call of the Wild and the Brewers Tale. That's a wrap. I, too, really want to hear about Brilliant Bubbles! It does seem that the lower end has gone up, but the higher end, signature dinners have stayed the same. I can recall that the more expensive dinners last year were $145 and $195, respectively. Such as life.

Thats what makes it hard to choose! We can go to so many-lol. Maybe I will win lotto tonight then we will all be having a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure last year I did pay extra to book the Party early, and we got a bottle of wine and 2 extra wine glasses for the privelege (sp) anyway... a $30 increase does seem steep for one year... is it they lose money by providing such great foods?

Arent the wines more of selling, like wineries that do "free samples' at tours? I'm just trying to figure out how to justify that huge of an increase, if they had at least increased the party by 30 minutes... :confused3

Now I noticed the $195 one had Dom Perignon and Moet champagnes...

thanks for the up to date post!!

Because they think we will pay it.

Hey Disney! I cut my wish list down to one PFTS from three when I saw the price...Not that they'll have much of a problem getting others to book.

Last year, there was a Party For the Senses preorder option (with the wine and glasses) available as an add-on to Magic Your Way Packages.

The $30 increase does seem a bit steep, but I actually think it's a fair increase. It's comparable to other grand tasting events I've seen. (And this year, I'm being unfaithful -- I'm seeing another food and wine festival. Shhhhh. http://www.foxwoodsfoodandwine.com/)

BROCKTOON -- Last year, at the Brewer's dinner - there were approx. 150 people??? About 12 to 15 tables of 10 or 12 guests would be my best guess. At our table - 8 out of ten of us were having a great time meeting the others - the other couple was obviously unhappy at having to share a table with others and ignored the rest of us. To each his own. Expect the same amount of people at most of the dinners.
I'm amazed that so many people are interested in the Brewer's dinner this year - last year, it didn't seem to get as much interest.

As far as PFS goes - of course they're going to raise the price - last year they had 900 people at the events in November.
