We are going to be at Epcot for the very first 2 days of the Wine and Food festival.

We also are on the dining plan.

First question - can you use a snack credit for each of the booths still? From previous research, it sounds like this is an incredible use of snack credits.

Follow up question - based on previous threads, it looks uncertain whether you can convince a CM to exchange CS credits for multiple snack credits. Assuming you could, does it sound like a good idea to do so for the food and wine festival.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Oh I would LOVE to know if you can use snack credits there! Thanks for asking this. I was thinking that was totally out of the question.

Historically, all food items at the booths can be purchased with a snack credit. Alcohol items are excluded from this, of course. It is a very good use of snack credits as many of the snacks at Food and Wine cost over $5.

1. At previous F&W Festivals and at the Flower and Garden Festival food kiosks they've allowed the use of snack credits for any non-alcoholic food or beverage which is a great use of snack credits considering the cost of some of the F&W items.

2. You would not be able to do it at F&W because CMs at the kiosks have no way to convert CS credits to snacks. As you said, it has gotten harder and harder to exchange leftover CS credits for snacks. The most success has been at resort food courts, but it has to be done right at that time because it depends on whether the CM you ask will allow it. Also the number of snacks you could choose - 1,2, or 3 for each CS credit varies with the individual CM. Also you can create a "continental meal" consisting of 3 snack items - one savoury, one sweet and one beverage using a CS credit. However, even this would not work at the F&W because you cannot use CS credits at the kiosks.

Ok, this is something fundamental that I didn't understand. When people talk about exchanging their CS credits for snacks credits, they are doing it/negotiating it at the point of sale? I was envisioning calling the customer service number on the phone and they would change it and link it to our bands.

It has to be done at the POS and not something that you would call Guest Services to have added to your MBs. I don't know how much "negotiating" you would be able to do because I don't think it was ever officially included in the dining plan rules and was a pixie dust experience. However, it's becoming less common so hopefully when you ask a CM at the register, it will be one who will allow it. It definitely cannot be done at the F&W kiosks.

You can use Snack Credits at the F&W. They started that some years ago. I am pretty sure they will not convert CS to multiple Snack Credits.

The last three years, we have used our "snack credits" from our dining plan for the Food & Wine Festival foods. You can use all of them the same day(7 total if you stay a week) or spread them out. But, you cannot use them for alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed the option. It was great!
