I believe dates are announced in late February-early March and events booking started in late July. Most every year the Epcot F&W Festival started on the last Friday of September (or October 1st, depending on the cyclical Friday calendar). In 2014, the Epcot F&W Festival started a week earlier. Who knows if this will be a new yearly start date...

The historical F&W dates (below) could perhaps help you to select your visit dates. This year, Disney has resort "Fall" rates which run from Sept 11th thru Oct 8th. Here's Disney's rack rates (including hotel tax). Best to be on the look-out for discount specials as they become available. You can book rack rate now, and modify your resort stay reservation when a discount is announced later.

It will end on November 9. Plans for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon events are already under way for November 6-7.

As for when it will start, if they follow the same formula as last year it should start September 18, but I haven't seen it announced yet.

In 2013 I had the complete Eat to the Beat concert schedule by late May so the dates were probably out much earlier. I believe sometime in March things will start firming up.

Yeah, I think my July date is just about events booking. I just found a story from Feb 2014 from the Orlando Sentinel that announced the 2014 dates. I'll fix my post. Thanks.

We've already booked our annual "end of the fest" visit from 11/7 to 11/15. Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club.

We're booked 9/23-29 and are anticipating steering clear of Epcot on Saturday, as we've heard it's busy on the weekends. Is there usually a spike in travel that first week of F&W or is there usually just an even number of travelers week to week?

We are booked oct 30-nov 7! We caught the first day of F&W this year on the last day of our trip. Can't wait to experience it more this year.
