Food and Wine 2015 Changes being made- What is up?

I'm not sure this is a bad thing. We are there 10 days and during that entire time there isn't anyone I'd be interested in seeing. Of course that is personal preference, but I can only think of two or three banks on the list of performers during the entire festival I'd make a point to go see.

We were down for 10 days....saw all of Starships show's one per day. I missed this comment? Did he announce that at which show? We book our trip around enjoying seeing this group. He stated at the Saturday night 5:30pm show he would be back next year and thanked the dedicated crowd and Disney. Hmmm We do the Flower Power every year but this is a disappointment.

It was posted on Starship's Facebook page:

Epcot is changing things up next year. For all of you that enjoy coming to see Starship twice a year, next year we are only going to be at Epcot in March. Thank you for your support and love!

I would love to see some younger acts at the Eat To The Beat concerts. We are in our late 30's and barely recognize some of them. And they are not acts I am intentionally driving down for either. It would be nice to at least recognize the names of the bands.

Me too.

The information I received came directly from Starship. Starship has been at Epcot twice year for 15 years. They fill each concert three times night. So to say they are not bringing in money for Disney would be far from correct.

This is the current confirmed bands at Epcot for Flower And Garden 2015 in case anyone is interested.

March 27,28 29 Starship
April 3,4,5 The Orchestra
May 1,2,3 Taylor Dayne
May 15,16,17 Hermans Hermits Starring Peter Noone

There has been no scheduled bands for Food and Wine in 2015. But this may change.

I hope you are right about The Orchestra coming back....I will make a special trip to see them. Just like last year!

I'm with you. The Orchestra -quality musicians. I want to make a special trip also but April 3-5 is Easter weekend and flights are expensive. Maybe I'll get lucky and see them at F & W.

Eh. Color me not impressed. I'm 31 but would much rather see bands like The Monkees (or even just Micky Dolenz), Grass Roots, Lovin' Spoonful, B.J. Thomas, or Gary Puckett over En vogue, Taylor Dayne, or Jon Secada (I had to look up those last two but have known all of the bands when it was The Flower Power Concert Series). I get that they are going to have to get younger bands as time goes by for the obvious reasons. I'm just not liking that it was done now and I'm not liking the ones they selected. The Guess Who will be there when I am there, though, and they certainly seem worth checking out.

You know who I enjoyed the most? Nelson. They were a younger bad, of course, but they were doing their father's music. They did one song by their grandfather and one of their own hits because they are the only family to have three generations of musicians who have had number one hits, but mostly the show was about Ricky Nelson. I loved it. It was a lot like that VH1 show, Storytellers, because they told all sorts of stories behind the songs. It was great.

Thanks for posting the list! The Village People are there when we go. DD7 is going to be thrilled to do YMCA! We will be there in early May too.

Don't get me wrong. I love many of these artists' music but I don't really care to see them perform at Epcot. I hope they keep the concerts though, because they take a good chunk of people out of the food and wine lines three times a day!

Haha well i for one would be shocked to see heavy drinking at food and wine. Who would imagine such a thing?! ;)
