Food Allergies, forgot to note when making dining reservations

Hello,
I had a stressful time making ADR's this AM and forgot to mention my food allergies when making the reservations on the phone. (Online was down and it was 3 AM our time, so I was stressed and tired and glad I remembered my own name at that point!). I have some odd and life threatening allergies, I remember before when I went in 2011 I had to email something with all my ADR's on it prior to leaving on our trip in addition to noting it when I made the reservation.
Since I forgot to mention it when making the reservations, should I call again? Or who can I contact?
My allergies are to tree nuts (but not peanuts, coconuts or do-nuts!), soy, and pretty much all fruit- I can eat grapes (yay for wine!) and melony fruits, but apples, peaches, cherries, berries, etc will cause me to either swell up like a balloon if I touch them (I told my nephew my hands look like I am wearing Mickey Mouse gloves if I touch a cut apple since they not only swell up but great freakishly white- he was very anxious to see!) or go into anaphylactic shock if I eat them. Most are easy to avoid in main courses, but desserts can be a nightmare and since we are using the DDP, I don't want to miss out on dessert!

What do I need to do?
TIA!

I'm allergie to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, shellfish, wheat, oats, coconut, soy, dairy, sesame, sunflower seeds, ginger, thyme, broccoli, raw fruits (except grapes), raw vegetables.

We did a last minute (day before) reservation at Crystal Palace while we were there and forgot to mark the allergies befor eh and. Everything was fine.

Personally, I think it will be fine but you can always call back and add it on if your concerned.

I remember at the buffets it wasn't a big deal, but at some of the places- Akershus for instance there are berries all over the dessert, and at Garden Grill the only option for dessert is fruit. I am allergic to fruits cooked or uncooked, so I don't' want to miss out on desserts. - I wish I could eat cooked fruit, I see berry pies and smell apple pies- mmmm, and I just want to try a bite. I just keep reminding myself, at least I am not allergic to chocolate!!!

If you want, you can call back and have them add "tree nuts" and "other" as a note on your reservation. It will flag it as an allergy res when you arrive at the restaurant. Call at your leisure - maybe a mid-day weekday when the lines are less likely to be busy.

A few weeks before the trip, email special diets with the info you shared above. They will send you back a form - fill it out and send it back to them. They will pass it on to the chefs.

If you just show up, they will feed you safely. But, it is easier on the chefs to know in advance, it expedites the process, and I would guess it might allow them to prepare a "safe" dessert - I would not take that as a promise, though.

I figured it would be easier for them to know in advance too. They were great last time I was there- at Akershus they brought the dessert tray out to me without all the berries, and berries on the side for the rest of the family. I know they can't guarantee to feed me, but they were great last time. One of the places they put a big red stamp on our all sorts of little papers and gave me something to hold, I can't remember where, but my cousin was mortified! I suggested next time they just put a big scarlet 'A' on my forehead!

I will track down the email for special diets and make a note to email them about a month before we leave. Fruits are what are the most worrisome since even touching a piece of fruit causes such a contact reaction- and just about everywhere uses fruit as a garnish on either the dinner plates or dessert.

Hm, the red stamp is part of the deal - should just be put on a slip printed with the paper that tells the hostess where to seat you. It lets your server know there is an allergy at the table. We've never felt singled out by it but I guess if someone made a production out of it it might be different!

I read recently that they are doing less pre-planning for allergies than before.Unless the allergies were very unusual, they were handling most things upon arrival. I'm not sure if your fruit allergy may need a little more notice. We also noticed last trip that they did not go out of the way as much to make extra things for our allergy kid dessert. They pretty much told us everywhere that a particular brand of ice cream was what they had that was safe. One or two places fancied it up really neat but not most places. We over all have been very happy with the way WDW handles allergies.
