Got a DING! today for ABQ - LAX, and was able to convince my wife...today's her birthday, by the way...that we should take a short weekend trip to Disneyland for the end of February. So I dutifully booked round trip DING! fares. Got email confirmation and all looked good, until I relooked at the DING! page and realized that the normal Wanna Get Away fares were cheaper than the DING! fares. Another round of cancellations, and reconfiguration to 2 one ways and airfare is done.
Booked Fairfield over internet, then realized we each have enough Marriott Reward points for a night each. So I guess hotel will be free.
At this rate, it's cheaper to go to DL than stay home.
