I know he is gone now and it is just rapunzel. I am wondering if anyone knows why and if there are any plans to bring him back? he is my dd's favourite over rapunzel and we saw him in february and when I ask who she wants to see when we go back it is Flynn ryder -and Ariel (her fave).

First off, if he's your DD's favorite, you need to learn to spell his name right. It's Flynn Rider (not Ryder). Flynn would NOT be happy!

As for future appearances ... he will definitely be at MNSSHP and MVMCP events, and there is talk of a Rapunzel (possibly with Flynn) M&G being added to Epcot sometime next year. But otherwise ... Flynn has flown.

They wanted to shorten the waits for Rapunzel, so they doubled up on Rapunzel greetings. The money for the extra Rapunzels came from Flynn (generous guy that he is). It was either "spend the money to add both another Rapunzel and another Flynn" or "trade-out the money from Flynn to add another Rapunzel". They went with door #2.

Aside from parties or special events, I doubt very seriously that Flynn will return for meet and greet events. I hope that I'm wrong, but this is the typical fate of Disney princes.

Eric was brought back for a limited engagement to help offset the loss of Ariel's Grotto... but I'll be surprised if he becomes "permanent".

What they decided not to do was ADD to the budget by adding a Rapunzel and also adding a Flynn, which would have added two characters instead of keeping the number the same.

As for Angelica ... I believe her leaving paves the way for Pirate Goofy to return. Again ... one character for one character.

If Flynn returned, they'd need two of them (since Rapunzel does double the number of sets), which would mean that they'd still have to up the budget to bring Flynn back.

Alas ... not likely.

In this picture, Disney obviously doesn't. I'm thinking it's not a misspelling in the movie that gave birth to the character. You are most likely looking at a typo, wherever you are looking.

They could at least consider a rotation as Belle & Beast were in Epcot when we were there last. They were not listed together at all...there were times for Belle, and times for Beast.
I'd gladly accept him sharing time with Rapunzel...he is CO STAR of the movie after all.
