Flynn and MNSSHP?

Has anyone tried to contact Disney to follow-up on whether Flynn will be out with Rapunzel during MNSSHP? After they removed him from the daily meet n' greet I know many of us got the email stating that he would be available during special events but he doesn't seem to be showing up on any of the lists...

Just curious as to what people are being told....?

He may not be on the list yet but 2 "friends of Flynn" have confirmed he will be back, and another "friend" stated he wasn't going to be hanging out with him at the parties but as far as he knew he was still supposed to be there.

What I don't know is where he will be...I am thinking he and Punzie may be in the Princess mash up in Town Square...which will stink.

Flynn is not on the published character lists, but from what I understand, those lists are not 100% complete. I have been told that yes, there is no doubt that Flynn with be at MNSSHP... though as the PP mentioned, he and Rapunzel may or may not be at the general Princess M&G (aka Princess Pot Luck).

We have been wondering the same thing and have asked Disney several times and many even attempted an unsuccesful campaign to get Flynn to stay in MK as he was. WDW never officially gave a reason for his departure but many speculate guest complaints about long lines for the meet and greet and removing Flynn would make those times much shorter (and it has worked).

Because there are other characters who are MORE popular (aka Rapunzel) and Disney has X number of characters in their budget every year. You get a bunch of people complaining about how long they had to wait to meet Rapunzel, and you look for ways to add another Rapunzel.

If you have one Rapunzel and Flynn and want to add another Rapunzel, then you also have to add another Flynn, which is an addition of two without losing any, which is a pretty big budget hit if your budget has no wiggle room as it is. So, in order to add one (Rapunzel), they have to take something away (Flynn).

New budgets come out in October, so who knows what will happen then.

So the solution to long lines is to make it less desirable?

This could work for TSMM too. Just take out the shooters.

Exactly what I said when it was announced. Take the big drop out of Splash Mountain and that line would go faster too.

It seems to be a new direction Disney is going with their planning. They have taken characters and monorail service away from EMH, and pretty soon we'll hear about how it's not in demand and needs to be cut.

I've seen it happen before. I work for a distributor. One of our suppliers used to offer a great product package that everyone loved. When they no longer wanted to offer it, they simply increased the price by 400% and then said "We're discontinued it because no one seems to want it anymore".

Please, he is clearly reformed. Did you not see the end of the movie? Hugs made him all better inside, no need for further scoundrelness.

Also: wealth probably didn't hurt to offset his need to supplement his income.

No ... the solution to long lines was to add a second Rapunzel. But to add a character, you also have to lose a character. (See explanation already given, above.)

"Less desirable" or not -- there is a steady line of folks to meet Rapunzel even all by herself. My guess is that the satisfaction uptick from shorter lines has more than compensated for any complaints about not being able to meet Flynn.

I don't remember Disney ever saying that Flynn was being cut because he wasn't in demand. Wasn't the "official spin" that Flynn was being cut in order to focus on Rapunzel due to her popularity? (AKA "We're putting more Rapunzels out there, so we're trading them out for Flynn.") Disney never suggested that Flynn wasn't popular, did they?
