i flew xmas one year, thinking it would be an easy quiet flight with few kids....wrong......it was on BA....a flight from JFK to London.....it was PACKED with families heading for India...(changing planes in London)....... the fact that it was on xmas wasn't an issue for them....
so instead of getting a flight with fewer kids than normal, it was jam-packed with kids....
i've never flown xmas again since then....
we did fly the day before xmas....the only problem that time around was the weather....we flew via toronto (that was during my air canada phase - i used to LOVE flying them)....there was a massive snowstorm that day....we almost didn't make it into toronto on our connecting flight and almost didn't make it out of toronto....scary stuff flying in weather like that.....and that was one of our worst experiences of turbulence....shortly out of toronto, the plane hit a pocket so deep we fell enough of a distance for quite a bit of screaming on board, and they thought the man behind us was having a coronary....he wasn't, but the whole episode sort of soured us on the flying out of very cold, snowy toronto....
