Flying with Trading Pins

Wondering what you guys do with your trading pins when you fly?? I don't want to put them in my checked baggage for fear they will be stolen but not sure if they can go with me with my carry-ons???? Thanks!

During our trip in February DD had her pin lanyard in her carryon backpack. Had I remembered prior to checking in I probably would have put them in the larger suitcase to keep from having issues with security.

As it turned out, her backpack went thru security with not issues about the pins or anything else. Not sure if this is the norm, or we were just 'lucky'; the thought of having had the pins conviscated (sp?) is not a pretty one.

Carry them on. They see them EVERY DAY!!! Trust me, you are not the only people to ever take pins to/from WDW. They won't even bat an eyelash!

What are trading pins? Sorry, I'm new!

They are pins that you wear on lanyards around your neck and trade different ones with either CM's or other guests for ones you want more... My kids have so much fun trading theirs.. There are character ones, movie one and just about anything you can think of. Does that make sense!!
