When we flew with DS last year I had about 6 bottles in his diaper bag each with I think at least 6 oz. of water in them. I know it was more than 3 oz.
We flew out of Richmond and at the screening point I declared the bottles to the agent and after everything was scanned and we were cleared through we stepped aside with the agent and she checked each bottle. I had to take the lids off and she waved a small piece of paper over the top of each. Then I put the lids back on and off we went. DS preferred room temp water and I was afraid anything I bought would be too cold.
On the way back we were rushing and I forgot to declare the bottles and no one checked anything. I guess the guy watching the scanner saw DS and let us go on through or either he missed the bottles full of water altogether.
I think I had diaper cream in the bag both ways.
