Flying with mytravel........do you have to pay onboard for meals/drinks?? Or do they come included in price?

Do I need to order DDs vegan meal before hand.....if so any ideas who I call?

Sorry, slight panic mode!

Hi Mandy

When you booked you should've been told if the price included the meal or not. If not then yes you will have to pay for it, but that should've been at the time of booking the flight. Give broadway travel a ring to confirm if they are included.
You will have to pay for drinks on the flight.
You will have to preorder your vegan meal too. The phone number I have for queries is 0870 191 3712 Have your booking confirmation number ready;)

Hi, can I just hop on and ask if anyone has flown with MyTravel before? Cosmos are currently offering an upgade for £60 return if booked before end September which is very tempting but I just wondered if anyone has any experience of their flights, check-in etc. specifically.

Hi,

I've flown with myTravel, twice to the Dominican Republic. Both times we upgraded to there PremAir Gold service and could not fault it. Everybody on the plane get a seat back tv, which plays around 4 films in a loop on different channels.

In PremAir Gold you get to board first, first off the plane. The seats are much bigger and you get free drinks there and back. The meals are the same as ecomony.

Whenever we do long haul we always upgrade now, mainly for the more roomy and comfortable seats.

This year we opted for First Choice's new Star Class Premier service which looks even better than MyTravel's upgrade.

Just ask if you've got any more questions.

Lee.

thanks Mich, we've opted out of the meals asI think they're a bit expensive for what you get, so we'll take some food with us and eat when we get to WDw :cool1:

I dont blame you Mandy;)
That's what we've done in the past.

We travelled with them in 2000 and they were fine. We loved the seat back tvs.

We flew MyTravel last month from Manchester and didn't pay for any extras on a point of principle. The 4 of us got a seat together, so £60 saved there, and we were given meals and drinks even though we said we hadn't paid for them, so that was another £60 saved, I think. We had taken plenty of food on the plane, so we came off it with quite a bit. Checking in for the return flight, we were told that we had been allocated seats together anyway.

I would say don't fall for the extras, as the food wasn't worth the money we didn't pay. For free, it was fine though! Apparently it's much easier for them just to give food to everyone rather than giving it only to the majority who paid one way or another.

We had no seat-back TVs, just flip-down screens with poor reception, so don't get your hopes up there.

Considering that we saved £800 over BA and £1,100 over the cost of MyTravel from Glasgow, I have no complaints at all and would do it again if the price was right.
