We just got back from WDW. Two days before we were due to fly out, my DD was sent home from day care with a fever. We brought her to the ped to have her ears checked, as she is prone to infections. She always has some fluid in the left ear and still did, but it was not infected. We asked about flying and were told it was fine.
Both there and back, we gave her Benadryl and Tylenol right before security (since both bottles were over 4oz we had to toss them afterwards) and then had prescription ear drops (yellow label, not sure what they are called) that were small enough to go through security so we did those on the plane. We also had her eat or drink on take off and landing.
Guess what? She was fine. She had no complaints at all, and frankly could not have cared less about the flight at all. I was SO relieved. I hope that it goes as well for you and that you have a GREAT trip.
