Flying to Vero Beach?

Orlando or West Palm Beach, both are about the same distance from each other. Southwest flies to both of them.

If you fly Delta, you can try for Melbourne. It is a tiny little airport to which Delta is the only commercial carrier to fly into and out of. We LOVE this airport. It is about 40-45 minutes from Vero Beach.

Otherwise, you're looking for Orlando or West Palm Beach. I know distance wise, they are about the same, but PBI (West Palm Beach) is a really easy trek straight up 95. MCO (Orlando) has a variety of routes to take, none of which are as straight of a shot as PBI.

A little off topic but does anyone know how far from Port Canaveral to Vero Beach?:confused3

What is the driving time to West Palm from Vero? I thought Orlando was 2 hours away. From the maps, it looked like West Palm was 1 hour. Can anyone who has done it clarify for me please?

I fly into Orlando and I call Treasure Coast Limo in advance, they are from Sebastian, Fl.. It's about an hour and half ride. When you get to VBR you're very close to their home base.(The local boys) Now that they know who you are they will take good care of any travel needs within minutes. TC limos # is 772-581-0851, the owners name is Jerry, tell him J.D. referred you. Good luck and have fun at Vero Beach !!! I'm going back down to VBR on labor day weekend. When pricing flights for our trip to Vero Beach the prices into Orlando were sky high, since we had to rent a car anyway I looked into flying into Fort Lauderdale. The drive was a bit longer but the flight was $150 cheaper per ticket!! When flying a family of 5, the extra time in the car was worth the money we saved!!!

The drive is between 40-50 minutes.

West Palm to Vero is a little over an hour--maybe an hour and a half...
Orlando can take anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours--depends on the traffic and route you take.

We are flying into Tampa, mapquest states it's about 2.5hrs long. The flights were cheaper than Orlando.

We've looked at FLL also. Even at Easter, FLL is usually less than MCO.

Car rental prices are cheaper in FLL/MCO than West Palm.

We like Alamo, as in MCO we can just walk to the cars, pick one out and go. West Palm you need to take the van, but also can by-pass the counter if you fill out your info on line.

When are you going?

A new airline company "Jet America" is going to start flying into the Melbourne Airport.

I second this recommendation!! Used them last year to shuttle my nieces in last summer and they were simply MARVELOUS!!!!

Did this drive (Busch Gardens) last year during Fay. It was about 2hrs to Busch Gardens so that sounds right. If you are going near meal time stop by Manny's Chop House in Lake Worth (you will drive right by it), it is worth the stop!!!!
