Flying SWA SEA to MCO Questions

Hi there new to flying Southwest. We fly out next week from SEA with a stop and plane change in DEN. Will we need to collect our baggage or will they direct it to MCO? If anyone has taken this flight is there much to do in Denver? We have a couple of hours at the airport. Lunch ideas?

I have not flown this particular route on SWA but have never had to pick up my luggage at a stopover on that airline (or any donsetic fligth actually on any carrier). I am 99.9% sure your bags will be checekd through. It realy would not work it have people have to leave the secured area, retrieve bags recheck them and then reenter security--you would have missed connections like crazy

Southwest using concourse C. I do not remember any specific places to eat but there are both fast food and sit down options there. However, if you do not find anything you like you may try taking the train to concourse B. It is the biggest and has the most options.

If you have a conntecting flight through Denver, your luggage will be checked through to MCO.

Don't know how long your layover is, but if you find food at the airport in DEN, you can take it on the plane with you. Another option is to pack a lunch before you leave Seattle. SWA does not offer any food other than some prepackaged cracker and cookie type snacks, and of course, peanuts or pretzels.

Lots of options to get lunch or pick up food in DEN. Don't know much about Concourse C, as I am usually in B, but it is one of my top two domestic airports to have a layover in (SEA is the other). As another poster said, if the choices in C are not good, you can take the quick train to Terminal B without leaving security. I like the Wolfgang Puck Express there (it's upstairs). Also...if you have time to kick around a bit, there is a pamphlet about some of the various art and design elements at the info booth and you can check that out.

You should google the airport's website! I've been booking hubby's work travel, and thanks to airport websites I've been able to give him info on what snack places are open during his layovers, and can even direct him to the money changing places with extended hours. I find their websites to be very helpful, and they generally have maps with listings of stores, kiosks, and restaurants.

Your luggage will be transfered to the connecting flight. You should not have to leave the security area and get re-checked by the TSA.

Denver International Airport (DIA) has three concourses, connected by an underground rail system. Each concourse has a variety of food and shopping options. In addition, there are several fast food establishments in the main terminal, but you will need to go through TSA screening to get back to your plane from the main terminal.

If for some reason you decide to explore the main terminal, TSA has two checkpoints that will allow access to the underground. A third checkpoint allows access to Terminal A, and this is accessed through the "pedestrian bridge", which walks you over the taxiway. Many locals like this one, as the line usually moves faster. Also, there is a USO and airline lounges between the concourse and security checkpoint along the walkway.
