Flying SWA? check flights often!

Wow, I have been flying,and loving Southwest for a few years now And just this week I got another reminder to look at my flights/dates OFTEN.
(not a disney trip this time LOL)
We are flying into Salt Lake city this summer, and had planned,for months now, to fly in on a Friday...when I booked(one way of course) the flights were at approx.275.00 per person(yes,one way)
I looked by chance 2 days ago, and the same flights,going in on Thursday,had dropped to HALF that amount,while all the other flights that week were rising steadily in price
Of course, we're lucky to have flexibility,and we jumped on that fare, but the next day,that same flight had jumped to HIGHER than that one quick special!
Just wanted to remind flyers here that when flying SWA,it pays to check,and check again!B/c SWA allows al sorts of changes,and no penalties!

I check obsessively...and so far what I booked originally is as good as it has gotten. So glad I got them when I did! They went up (almost double on one leg) and haven't budged since. But I'll keep checking! I booked with points so that makes me even more eager to get points put back in my account- no expiration! I don't expect our first flight to go down- it was pretty low when I booked. But our return flight probably has room for improvement.

I like checking- it gives me something vacation related to do One of these times maybe it will do some good.

I missed their sale in March where flights to CA was $120 now it's $170. I found flights for $140s but the airports are further than we wanted to be. Any speical promo codes for SWA? I am booking today since this current sale must be purchased by 4/11.

Yep, SWA does that. I once had enough credits to almost fly my family to Baltimore.

There is also a nationwide sale going on right now, and if you are flexible enough to travel on the days that SWA dictates, you can save substantially.

I check everyday, several times a day if I can. So far our flights have continued to rise while many of the others have dropped. At this time our flights have gone no lower than when we purchased. I will still continue to check though, still plenty of time for a credit to use for a trip later in the year but glad I booked when I did.
