Flying Spaghetti Monster

I wonder how people would feel if I went around adding feet to their Jesus Fish?

I do not condone doing anything to another persons car but...

One word man. Sharpie!

It would be easy to add all kinds of things, and unlike their choice to burn, doesn't do any permanent damage. ;)

I think the Pastafarians should encourage 'keeping it real' and 'getting back to our roots' by selling these

Someone put a big sign up here in Baltimore for the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Personally I love it and all things Flying Spaghetti Monster related. It makes as much sense ans any other religion to me but I'm an agnostic.

I guess stealing and destruction of private property is no longer a sin...well, at least if you do it in the name of Christianity...

Assume much? Did anyone say it was a Christian that stole it? I must have missed where they not only saw who stole it but they also managed to check their religious background. popcorn::

For those having Darwin fish issues Evolvefish/ FSM has you covered

"Suitable for Framing....An EvolveFISH insurance policy covers one non-christian fish emblem, purchased from us by the policy bearer, against acts of God or his emissaries. When God's mysterious ways lead to the destruction of your emblem, or if one of his loving, Christ-like, righteous minions remove or vandalize said emblem, EvolveFISH will replace the insured emblem for free. No prayers, no tithing, no lame excuses."

When you also have them tear the feet off, it kind of gives it away. It's not hard to figure out who would not like it and would vandalize or steal it. Not to mention the burning off of stickers that Cardaway brought up.

Burning off? How the heck would someone do that? Tearing the feet off, seriously?

Can I be honest? Christians are the ones that give other Christians a bad name. And I'm a Christian. It bugs me to know that there are people out there doing crappy things like that and they're supposedly Christians.

I can speak for only myself though when I say while I have no desire for one of those Darwin fish to be on my car and I believe the total opposite of that - I'd never once deface someone else's property or steal anything off their vehicle or anything else. I respect people no matter what they believe and hope to in turn, gain the respect of others who may or may not believe the same way I do.

I'm sorry that some crazy people did that! It saddens me because they make us all look bad.

I think you will find it laughed off more than anything now. I got mad the first time it happened, but after a while I started to just laugh. Now, if my can had something burned off of it, that would be different.

I think you guys are making this stuff up. In the history of mankind there's never been any record or recollection of people doing bad or evil things in the name of God and the religion they follow.

I'm sure it's all an urban myth and the next thing you guys will be trying to tell me that people actually come from apes and that the world is billions of years old. I hope all of you haven't fell for that evolution stuff. I heard it's just a bunch of hooey. Don't fall into the trap, evolution is crap. I once saw a bumper sticker once that said that

It's a proven fact that Dinosaurs and man lived together in perfect harmony about 6000 years ago and Noah's ark just wasn't big enough to fit them all. That Noah was a tough man to deal with and it was reported that he was a Dinophobe.:rolleyes1

My post did not say WHO did it, my comment is more directed towards the thought that many things are done in the NAME of Christianity. This comment came about during the 'conversation' on the beginning of this thread. Maybe whoever removes 'false idols' from private property wasn't Christian but that was the nature of the conversation at hand. Perhaps you should consider the context of a conversation before attacking one comment in the discussion.

I certainly can respect your views, the same respect I give everyone whom I choose to converse with. However your posting style in this instance is very inflammatory. 'Assume much?' is a very sarcastic (and not in a funny way) remark to make on the internet where intent is difficult to discern. You may want to familiarize yourself with the posting guidelines. Although I am not a tattle-tail, there are many here who would report a remark like that as a personal attack, KWIM?

I need the Certificate fo God. That one makes me laugh.

I love the insurance idea! But I doubt they'd want me to send back the last sticker taken off my car. I have no clue what was stuck in it before it was smushed onto the driver's side of the windshield. I'm just sticking to Disney stickers for now. The anti-Disney people aren't quite as vicious as the anti-Non-Christian people are.

A personal attack? I don't really see it. We'll have to agree to disagree. I didn't mean it as a personal attack and I'm sorry you took it that way. I was just trying to make a point that it doesn't necessarily mean it was in fact a Christian. That was all. Again, I apologize if you feel I was attacking you, it was definitely not my intention at all.

Well, I'm glad you decided to back off questioning who is doing the vandalism. Yes, it's an assumption, but it's a pretty safe one.

As for how they burn it, it's not very hard since the material they are made of burns (and then melts) very easily.
