I am coming in January with a group of friends and staying at BLT. Our plans include Friday arrival & dinner at California Grill, a Saturday spent in Epcot, and Sunday in Hollywood Studios. Pretty much everyone is going home Monday but I am planning on staying an extra night so that I can visit MK. any advice for a girl trying to get through MK in one day by herself? Also, any recommendations for a hotel for that one night stay?

Definitely stay on property wherever you can afford. MK should be great solo. If you haven't been before study the maps and pick your favorites. Make sure you stay for wishes it is the best! Probably you will eat CS but that is up to you. Have fun and enjoy the best of WDW...the MK!

Well just like the dining suggestions I just doled out, I can give you my opinions! :)

Are you loaded? I've stayed at the Poly and the Grand Floridian (I am not loaded, btw :rotfl:), and they are both awesome. The GF is more elegant, while the Poly has way more style! But, they are expensive.

As far as moderate resorts go, I would highly recommend the French Quarter. I love the New Orleans theme there, and the resort is small, so no 2 mile hike to your room after the bus drops you off. :thumbsup2

I am not a fan of the Value resorts, but the AS Movies has the most tolerable theming, while the Pop Century has its own bus line (the 3 AS resorts share one bus usually).

As far as getting through the MK solo, it should be fairly easy since you'll have no one to check with. The best advice is to take full advantage of Fastpass. Make sure you're never without one. Even if you know that you want your first ride to be Pirates, stop off at Big Thunder first and grab a FP!

Hope any of this helps. :)
