I am in Michigan and I need some advice....Our original ressies bring us to MCO at 7pm on Sat. I have the option to change our flight to early Sat morning bringing us to MCO at 1030am. The way Wilma looks I think the sooner you get to Orlando the better. What do you all think??? I hate the thought of our Sat flights getting canceled or majorly delayed. HELP!!!!

We arrive Friday afternoon, hopefully.

If I were you I would try and move it up. There may be delays anyway and if you start out early, you can get a head start. but I'm not a big traveler so that's just my opinion

I would change the flight to the morning, just because the storm is supposed to arrive on Saturday evening through Sunday morning. Depending where the storm comes ashore in Florida they may cancel flights in...

The latest five-day prediction from the National Hurricane Center shows Wilma making landfall on the Florida peninsula late Sat night/early Sunday morning. So the earlier flight is your best bet, although the possibility exists it could still be cancelled due to weather.

I would probably change my flights to early Saturday morning. If it stays on the forecasted track, we're only going to see 20-30mph sustained winds and a couple inches of rain. But, that could be enough to slow things down at the airport. The airports in South Florida will be closed by then and traffic will back up. And if this thing nudges a little north, or the trajectory of it changes, we could see more in the order of 40-50 mph winds...and then MCO will close. I'd play it safe...you should get in Saturday morning without issue.

Even if the winds and rain don't get bad the airport will. FLights will be delayed etc...get in as early as you can and get settled. We were there for Charlie and Disney did a great job with food etc. Get in and get settled.

I would agree with the above posts. The earlier you can get in the better and get settled. We arrive Friday night so should be fine, hoever if our flight was for Saturday night I would be changing it to an earlier one, the earlier the better. Good luck!!!
