flying on Christmas Day or the weekend after Christmas?

sorry guys, i don't think my poll from yesterday was making any sense. it was too confusing.
i'm leaning a little more towards a Xmas trip anyway...

so i'm just going to ask, has anyone travelled on Christmas Day before?
how bad was it? were the airport crowds crazy?
what about the weekend after Christmas? this year the 26th is a Friday, and the 27th is a Saturday.

if you had to pick one, which day do you think is the least hectic/crowded to fly out of MCO on?

1. Thursday Christmas Day
2. Friday Dec 26th
3. Saturday Dec 27th

We have flown on Christmas Day a few times, thinking it would be less crowded. WRONG..... The planes were packed to FL. My thinking would be go based on your needs and the costs. The airports will be busy, just give yourself extra time you should be fine. We always travel over the christmas holiday, never had a major problem.

yeah, i was hoping maybe less people would want to travel ON Xmas day... 'cause they'd be at home w/ family or something. oh well

hm...but the thing is, i'm wondering about leaving Florida on Xmas day or the weekend after Xmas though.

so... i don't know if it's wishful thinking, but i wonder if it's less crowded flying out of MCO?

anyway, ideally, i'd still like to travel on the day that might be slightly less hectic/crowded than the other two.

I think it's a crap shoot as to which day will be least crowded

Xmas Day - busy busy - those people going probably celebrated the night before thinking everyone else wouldn't ride on a Xmas day flight

Dec 26 - Friday - Of the 3 days, this might be your least crowded. Other than Fridays can be bears to fly as well.

Dec 27 - Sat after Xmas - Sat are always busy. This will probably be just as bad as Xmas day.
